Does anypawdy here remember Floyd and his Death Defying Feets?
Cranking up the Way back Machine here, we recently discovered his dad Bernie recently wrote a book titled, Find Wonder in the Ordinary. He published his book right before COVID hit, just like we did with Be More Dog: Learning to Live in the Now.
So, where are we going with this? Well, we swapped books with Bernie! And, it is the best thing we've read in a long time. Granted, there is the connection we have thanks to a couple amazing three-legged dogs who left big paw prints on our hearts. But there were also so many coincidences as we read the book, yet we firmly believe there are no coincidences.
Read our review in the Be More Dog blog for complete details, a sneak peek at Bernie's illustration talent, and a little history about Floyd and Jerry who brought us together.
Find Wonder in The Ordinary
Find Wonder in the Ordinary is recommended reading for anyone who enjoyed Be More Dog : Learning to Live in the Now. And vice versa!

That book review was full of "wonderment" all on It's on! Quite a backstory!
Just from reading your review, it reminded me of the everyday wonderment I find out here in my little bit of rural acreage I call my "Nature Sanctuary". The Lightning Bugs (Fireflies) started visiting me arpu d the last week of May I to first week of June. Off topic, but here are two links if anyone wants to really enjoy their "Language of Light" and what it means. It reminded me of the "wonderment " I experienced as a child spending hours watching ants work tirelessly on their "homes", constantly ma,ing repairs, bringing "supper" home. I would focus on one and watch how far he would go, how he would climb over obstacles....just fascinating. And this book will definitely have me reconnect with the marvel of Nature's magic, etc. And all this just from your review!!
Almost like clockwork, I hear my first WhipoWill at night end of April, first of May. "My" Hummingbirds return the middle of April. It's such a gift.
Actually as I'm writing this, I have the pleasure of a beautiful Bumble Bee swirling around my glass of tea. He just landed for a sip and I am honored.
I know from your passionate and enthusiastic and "tuned in" review, this book is a must read for me. And the way Jerry and Floyd brought you together years ago, and renewed your connection this past year......nope, no coincidences 😎
Another read, Kinship With All Life, by J. Allen Boone (??)

Sorry, didn't mean to veer off
I sincerely hope Be More Dog and Find Wonder in the Ordinary become spin off companion books where they both become must reads.

Jim apparently couldn't find enough good things to say about Find Wonder in the Ordinary so he followed up this Be More Dog review with more thoughts for their Live Work Dream nomadic lifestyle travel blog:
