Thought I'd share a picture or two of our new arrival and Charon & Don's God Dog. She and Duke are getting along well, but we are keeping their time together limited. Bob is calling her the Demon Dog. I'm thinking she may have a kinship to Bernie Bin Laden - more on that topic later...
The images aren't great - working with a cell phone in the dim light doesn't give the best quality.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

What a life, lay around on soft pillows all day, have someone feed me when I'm hungry, have a nice lady take care of my every need, got any extra pillows Shanna, I think I can adjust to fit in with the group real well!!!!! Congrats on getting her home, hope all goes well for you, Big Paws up to you, Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
she is just perfect!!!! does she get to come and spend her summer vacations with us???? so glad she and duke are getting along, it's always a 'dance' at first.
charon & gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
She looks like an angel! How old is she?

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
She looks like a darling! Welcome Emmi! I think Duke is going to just love her and may already! (he's the one touching her!)
I'm just happy for you guys. I know the adjustment will take a little time. But it's off to a good start!
Monkeybutt says:
"I see 2 monkeydogs that could join the Monkeydog Federation! And if Emmi is like Bernie B - she's tops!"
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
She will be 9 months old on 10/3. She and Duke are doing so much better than I expected. I really thought she would need to be crated for a couple of weeks, but this morning he was giving her eye licks just like he had Trouble. Today she has not been crated at all.
I think she and I will be starting beginner adult obedience class on 10/6. That way she can get me whipped into shape!
And Charon - absolutely you can have summer vacation visits. No doubt I will need a break by then - you may get Christmas visits too!

Congrats Shanna! I love her face, she is just adorable. Is that black on her muzzle maybe a sign of some Shepherd in her background?
Can't wait to hear about her Bin Laden-like adventures!
And THANK YOU for rescuing a dog in need. You rock!
