My first issue of "Whole Dog Journal" came today. I sat down and read it cover-to-cover. My monkeydog suffers from allergies daily, so it was topical for me.

What publications do you subscribe to?

If you got the March issue, is that a Tripawd on the cover? If so, tell us about the article. We don't subscribe to print publications, but do like the occasional issue of Modern Dog
OK, one issue in particular, because it mentioned Tripawds!

EDIT: Just looked up that WDJ article "Canine Orthopedic Equipment Designed for Increased Mobility and Extra Support" and that picture is not a tripawd but a senior dog sporting the Ruff Wear Webmaster harness.

I also like BARK.  July/August 2006 featured a tripod as the cover story.

The two magazines I get are Cleanrun and DogSport...but I would like to get some other basic magazines...I used to get Whole Dog Journal but got it for so many years, the information was getting redundant in it.  I may look into BARK.  Thanks!

I subscribe to The Bark as well. I enjoy getting it every other month. Our first issue was the Nov '10-Jan '11 issue, right after Abby had had her right front leg amp - and there was a tripawd-related story on pg 63! The main story was about avalanche rescue dogs and the main dog from the article, Lily, had a little follow up at the end of the article saying she'd been diagnosed with cancer after the story was researched and had to have her front left leg amp'd. It was a sweet little story with a great pic of Lily looking very happy as a tripawd!

Also, I am a 'fan' of theirs on Facebook. Just the other day they had a 'virtual' party on Facebook to celebrate their 10000th fan. It was actually pretty fun - and they selected a few pics that folks posted of their dogs and made up fake magazine covers. Abby was one of the dogs picked. I can't seem to figure out how to post her fake cover here, but you can check it out on my 'more detailed' blog in my sig. below. It's definitely a great magazine for dog lovers - and I recommend "like"ing their Facebook page as well.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

I forgot about Animal Wellness. It can have some good, basic information, but lately seems a little light on substance.

Mom gets Fido Friendly- a travel related magazine highlighting neat places to travel with your dog (most of which we could never afford) and filled with advertisiments of stuff you would normally find on Rodeo Dr....hey! I want a pair of diamond studded doggy raybans...hehehehe (They do have some good articles, especially in their health and wellness section)

Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.

BARK. I got Linda's picture published in the "Smiling dogs" layout in one of last year's issues.
