Hi Tripawds! Oh-my-gosh it has been a while! Cody is fantastic! He is the strongest dog I know and has been the best trooper through this whole thing! He is still eating like a champ, drinking well and doing his business and of course playing with his brothers. When we moved in with my parents he inherited two extra kitty friends to chase... and he loves every minutes of it! I swear I think he is faster now than he was before. He has mastered the dice of kibble and plays with it all the time! Funny thing, he never ever touched the thing until a few weeks ago and now its his favorite toy ever! And he's sailed through his three and FOUR month ampuversary! Holy smokes how has it been FOUR months!?!? I don't know but we thank God every single day for the extra time we are spending with him. I know the doctors said 3-4 months was his "limit" but he is proving people wrong every single day! I hate talking about that... I feel like I will jinx him... but he really is doing so well. We have noticed that every now and then he has this cough... but it isn't persistent. Like we are talking maybe once every 2-3 weeks we hear it. Dr. Loops said to keep an eye on it and if it gets more persistent and he starts to have an energy decline to let him know. But for now we celebrate! We are actually having a cookout this weekend for him and I'm going to make him a doggie cake! (if anyone has a recipe I'd gladly steal it ).
Sorry it's been forever! We've been enjoying every minute together! I'm going to wait and update the blog after the party on Sunday so we have plenty of pictures!
Here is that toy he loves... I just can't get enough of his cuteness!

Congratulation, Cody! You keep up the great work.
Check out Roxy's apple/peanut butter cake recipe. Our dogs loooove it, and we have it for every celebration around here.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Forgot to say that the recipe is in the Nutrition Blog .

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
There you are Cody! WOOHOOHIPPPHIPPPHOORRRAAAY!
You look pawesome! So strong and hoppy and energetic, it's so good to know that life is good and you're all doing great after the big move. Love watching that video too. What is the name of that toy? I know I've seen it but it's so cool, I think we need one of those.
Angela never feel badly about not being around, you are living life and making the most of every moment. Your doggies, especially Cody, need you present right now, you're there for them and it shows. YAY!
