I came across this article and wanted to share this beautiful story and idea with the folks here.  I saw the movie Bucket List with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson (I believe) years ago.  I never thought to apply it to our terminally ill furkids.  The young girl in this article went on a wonderful adventure with her beloved mastiff before the mastiff passed away.

Here's a snippet and the link...

Pet owner takes dog on bucket list adventure after terminal cancer diagnosis

Lauren Fern Watt and her mastiff, Gizelle, are the best of friends. They’ve gone through major life experiences together, and are always there to show one another support. When Gizelle was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer, Lauren was determined to stay strong and go on the adventure of a lifetime with her best friend. Together the duo came up with a bucket list to complete in the last few months of Gizelle’s life, and it was epic!

OMG ... I saw this and bawled... truly amazing!!!

Shelby's whole life was a bucket list of stuff and experiences but after her diagnosis, I drove us to Santa Barbara "one last time"... I knew that it would be our last trip there and it was bittersweet and those memories will last me forever.

Thank you for sharing ... definitely a tear-jerker!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

oh my goodness, this made me cry! Made me think a bit too. I have already begun to worry about letting go of my 11 year old dog as I can see him aging.that is not how he wants me to live. I need to just enjoy him. Take great care still and do all I can to keep him fit and healthy, but maybe not obsess as much. Made me feel a bit guilty. Once I found out about Ty's cancer, it became this battle between me and the cancer and somewhere, Ty may have gotten lost in that battle. Not that he was in any way healthy enough for a trip or anything, but I spent a lot of time just crying helplessly. Ok, I am going to spend some time hugging my pups. That being said, this is a beautiful story! Lori, Ty & the canine 3

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
