I mentioned the other day in a post on National Kissing Day that it I was missing my girl, and that her 6 months anniversary was coming up. (the bad kind of anniversary that is...). And I was going to just let it go at that, but the girl didn't want it that way. You can read my blog post here about how she demanded to get the attention she so rightly deserved!

You were right, Abby - I shouldna tried to let the day go by quietly...

Also in the post is the update of the end of Monkey Me Elmo & Curious George's visit to San Diego.

Finally... if you have a destructive doggy and want to win an "UnbreakOBall" for your tripawd or monkeybutt, check out my post here and you can enter a fun contest that is running to the end of this month.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Jerry loved his "Indestructi-Ball" for years before we took it away after noticing it was wearing down his teeth. We eventualy ony gave it to him on special occasions since he had such fun with it...

Looks like you may be giving away a different toy, just wanted others to be aware of this.

It's not actually me that's giving it away, so I don't know much about the ball itself. I've never had one before (it's called an UnbreakOBall) - probably similar to what Jerry had, but I don't know. Probably would have been a good toy for Abby. She loved to destroy things!

What lovely signs from Abby.  I'm glad Abby got her way, your collection of favourite photos is beautiful. Abby is such a poser!

Karen and Spirit magnum

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/

Ain't it funny how all of those signs pop up just when we need them most? I love how Angel Abby was playing cute little tricks on you on such a special day, just to make you smile.

As for Rita and the Monkey Me Elmo invasion, what a ton of fun on the 4th! Rita, you sure showed them how to buck up and deal with loud kabooms! I didn't realize those boys were so wimpy.

Thanks for posting that video, we heard all about the explosions. Must have been cool to watch in person!

Oh Abby, good for you for making sure your mom kept her at the front of her thoughts on your day!  I know that it was a tough day for her, but I'm sure that feeling your presence really helped.

What great pics of her you posted!
