Fortis is a bit angry with me for not getting him entered into the summer photo contest. No joke, I was just about to submit a photo thinking I had two hours before the cut off and I read that the contest was closed. Fortis woofs at me saying you always blame mom when were running late……who are you going to blame now old man. ME!
So here are a few photos of my boy with the golden heart!
1) This one is when Fortis was the cover boy on the Cane Corso Calendar. He was Mr. November the year prior to this. Yes I'm bragging!
2) This is a current shot! He still looks darn good if you ask me. The steer head is gone. Fortis is howling with the coyotes……
3) Fortis posing in and among the Texas Bluebonnets!
4) Fortis cooling down after a long hard swim last week!
Thanks for letting me share.
That calendar shot is outstanding! You do a decent job with the camera. Trouble should be so lucky!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Darn good indeed! Awesome photos.

Thanks everybody. We just got home from Town Lake. Fortis had a blast. He just never gets enough of the old swimming hole. I hope everybody is having a great day!
I couldn't help myself. I just had to post these two photos of Fortis getting us into the middle of a Kayak Polo Game! Everybody just loved Fortis. He got Lots of hugs and love and even some photos.
If you look closely at the first one, you can see a helmet floating behind Fortis. That's what he wanted I think.
I think Fortis wanted to go for a ride. I might try and take him canoeing next week. Now that will be interesting I can assure you. It's been years since he was in a canoe!
Wow! Look at the big guy! I swear he always has the most animated facial expressions! I'm guessing his daddy talks to him all the time and he's reactive. Of course, he could be mimicking his dad's facial expressions but WE wouldn't know!
He's such a happy, lovable boy! I can never get enough of Fortis!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

I'm a Fortis fan either way.
Michelle
Michelle, he is most definitely a snuggle bunny. He loves everybody! The only time I have trouble is when you get one of those types that want to growl, stomp their feet, and stare him down when he's on leash. It's funny, they never do it when he's off leash. You know the type, macho macho man! Well, if you want to play you better be prepared to play big time rough. And that's with three legs. I don't allow this of course but sometimes you come across idiots! All that said, he would snuggle up to you if that's what you wanted.
Yes CometDog, I talk to him constantly and so does everyone in the family. But then, I like to talk just ask Rene. In fact I don't know when to shut up!
Oh my lordy....I thought Magic was big and Echo and Wolf were way bigger still...but Fortis...Now that is one impressive dude. And when you were talking about the macho types??? I had a huge german shepherd years ago when I was married to an ex....his friends seems to suffer from an over abudance of the macho thinking gene (race car drivers and such) and would just try to come on strong and boy he busted every one of them....not that he bit them but all that macho stuff can leak away fast
I always wondered if they felt stupid
Fortis - what a big love! Mr. November - now that's something to be proud of ...he's the perfect Mr. November! What great photos. I'm with Michelle - I'm a Fortis fan either way (but don't tell Kobe that!) And I'm with Comet - you can never get enough of Fortis. So keep sharing those pics!
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
