Well, it's hard to believe but Miss Roxy just had her 1st year ampuversary of her surgery and we are about to celebrate our 1st year since we adopted this sweet girl!!! As you can see, from the attached photos, she has turn into a beautiful 24.5 inch girl and still running strongly...most people don't even notice that she is a tripawd She has been involved in agility and is about to start a basic obedience class this weekend...a refresher for my training techniques
Roxy…Border Collie cross born on approximately October 27th, 2011;
Rescued in January 2012 by Oops a Dazy Rescue & Sanctuary;
Right hind leg amputated on January 20th, 2012 due to a severe spiral fracture;
Adopted on February 21st, 2012 by Teena, a devoted human & Charlee, a purebred BC.
Hugs, tail wags & sloppy kisses
She's a beautiful, spunky, smiley girl! Horay on 1 year! Keep it up!!
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Here is a video of her...hopefully it shows up

Holy smokes she's FAST! Wow!
She looks fantastic and is obviously in GREAT shape. What kind of activities are you doing with her to keep her so fit?
Congratulations on this very big, important milestone!!!! Keep us posted, we'd love to see more of her adventures.

Beautiful! She looks so happy. Congrats
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Happy Ampuversary This is awesome.
Sassy is a proud member of the Winter Warriors. Live long, & strong Winter Warriors.

Thanks everyone...she is a good girl Jerry, I would love to take credit for her great shape, however, she is just naturally lean...I actually have been trying to put a little weight on her but I can't seem too. The only thing I can take credit for is that she is on a high quality food, she gets regular exercise, and she see's a pet chiropractor regular (BTW, I am still trying to get my boss to write an article for you guys ) Lately, I have been extra curious to know what breeds she actually has in her so I picked up a DNA testing kit today...I will keep you posted

What a cutie of course I'm a bit partial to the black and whites My Kess is 11 and celebrated her year 2 ampuversary this october. She plays flyball, agility, and disc and blows most of the quad paws away. We do a lot better at agility if I could keep up with her. My Suki (aka monkeybutt) Looks a lot like Roxy, we think she's BC/Beagle.
Kess (tripaw) is at the start of the video followed by monkeybutt Suki.

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle.
