SO I won't go into the gory details about why I had such a sh!tastic day (sorry for the profanity) or why life has been uber stressful right now (let's just say ... the LA life isn't always what it seems) but I was driving a different route home from work today. We're in "STORM TRACK" which basically means it's misting and gives LA drivers an excuse for being even more ass-hatty than usual.... so my navigation on my phone gave me a detour to try and get me home in less than an hour (not happening). I came upon this street.
Now I had NO clue there was a "Shelby" street in LA and I am sorry to sound like a broken record (ok not sorry) ... but this is one big fat SIGN that my best girl wanted me to know that she's with me - always ... I did see a dime at the gym on Tuesday but didn't think much of it. Shelby has to hit me over the head (LOL).
It instantly warmed my soul and calmed me and made me remember that life and love are about more ... that bad days at work aren't the way things need to be and that perspective is all one needs....
And of course ... little jasper greeted me with love and cuddles and all my 'delicates' from the dirty laundry in the living room. Viva la wine for supper!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Oh Alison, this makes me so happy. With everything going on in yiur day, that Shelby "hits you over the head" with a sign...literally...that she is with you.
This is one of the best signs you've gotten so far! HUGE!! This is the kind of sign who should ake doubters be believers!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Oh Alison I LOVE that! You have your guardian angel with you always, even on the worst L.A. traffic days. Beautiful!

That is a definite sign (literally) if I ever saw one!!!! Shelby knew how stressed you were and she wanted to bring you back and ground in the "now". Which she did!!!! Shelby is always with you....even in crappy LA traffic and weather...

Shelby likes to send little signs and big ones too.... it warms my heart .
Today is a tad better ... It will be better when I am off work and homeward bound however I fear that 'rain' (which is really just laughable misting) will wreak more havoc on the commute... serenity now ... serenity now!

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
