So for those who believe in this stuff, mercury was in retrograde until today ... it's been an odd month ... the thing with mercury in retrograde is that you supposedly aren't supposed to make life changing decisions, etc .. last year, I impulsively got Jasper and we all know how that ended up! 🙂
Anyways ... so we got some odd rain in LA and my stairs to my apt were super slick and the other day, I did a booty bump all the way down... thankfully I have enough padding that I didn't do major damage (nothing broken) but super sore. Come to find out, I gave myself whiplash (who knew?!?) - so cardio hiatus till I'm better. So yesterday I took Jasper on a looooooooooong walk before work (girl's got to move somehow) and TWO butterflies landed on her nose. She was spooked but I haven't seen a butterfly around here - ever. Monarchs.
So I googled the meaning of that and figured it was a sign from Shelby.
Today, worked at home so I could get adjusted from my chiro and again took Jasper on a 3 mile walk and a little ways into our walk I saw a sparkle gem stone ... nothing fancy but obviously sparkles and bling! I grabbed it up and thought ... Shelby!
Shelby has been working SO hard to make herself known as I approach the one year adoptversary of Jasper ... I know it's a human thing but I think - truly - Shelby is reminding me (not that she needs to) that she was the Alpha and the "love of my life"... I love when her spirit visits and I love when I see and understand the signs...
And for Sally .... Jasper on her walk last night ... gang of kitty thugs! Westside Kitties!
Shelby ... two years ago ... after her first surgery to fix her leg (that eventually did come off) and to get a biopsy on her shoulder (just a fatty mass). This was 2 weeks after her surgery and her spirit was as strong as ever! Oh how I miss that adorable face!!!! And that smile! She had the best smile! #loveofmylife

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
She is definitely working OT on you LOL. No more sliding down the stairs girl. Take it easy til you heal up.
As for the adoptaversy i think Shelby is reminding you who sent JL to you 😉 She knows that she is the love of your life and you know you never will forget it.
So we want to see the party that you have for JL. Love all these pictures

I agree with Michelle. Shelby's is reminding you who's responsible for the gift of Jasper. I just love when these signs are so unmistakable. Makes them all the more special. TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Not one but TWO butterflies? And Monarchs on her nose? And a gemstone too? That's Shelby for sure! Gorgeous and sparkly just like her.
Glad you're OK after that fall. Shelby obviously wanted you to feel better but ouch!
PS It has totally been a very trying week. Now we know why. Glad that phase is over! Onward!

I like Michelle's assessment ... a friendly reminder that she sent me Jasper and that I need to slow down (however the fall was hardly my fault - the stairs were super slick from the misting rain).
I look at little Jasper and cannot believe it's been almost a year with her ... I didn't celebrate a year after I got Shelby (as far as I remember) but Jasper's adoptversary will be meaningful for sure since we have BOTH come a long way ... I think back to that post about a rescue dog and their baggage and if it is safe to 'unpack'... I think that was what sealed it for me and Jasper. I wanted her to unpack, feel safe and secure and happy ... and she feels ALL those things - 90% of the time. Proud of that little girl and proud that our forever angel keeps us in check!

I just love this "stuff"!!! And the "signs" ARE REAL! The butterflies landing ON Jasper Lily, and then the bling...yeah, I love this stuff!
Okay, even taking it one step further in the "nothing is happenstance" scenario......had you NOT slipped in the stairs and slowed your little self down a bit, younmay have missed the Butterflies and bling Shelby had waiting for yoj!! A stretch? Maybe.....or not!
JASPER LILY, you better watch out for those hoodlum thug cats!! They look like they're looking for a fight!! You better start tucking a little pepper spray under your collar!

You know what would be fun...in a sick tripawd humor sorta' way? Post some of your first posts during the first several months you had Jasper Lil y. You know, the knes where y ou said you didn't love her....you wanted ro take her back...she was the wrong dog for you,etc. Because we all knew Shelby sent you Jasper Liky, we knew it woukd work out, but it our beliefs were tested a little bit at first!
YOU BOTH HAVE COME SOOOOOOOO FAR and it is an absolute blast being on this journey with you!
