Today Bosch, Snickers & Jasmine had their final check up with Dr Boyer. It was a bitter sweet day as she was the one who treated Sassy (yes, I cried but not til the end). She is going to teach at Kansas State University. She will be supervising 4th year students in general practice what she did at our clinic. I know it seems silly to cry but we went through a lot together. I know she will be available if needed at K-state & she told me she would pick out the best vets if we ever needed them down there. Also told me to keep in contact with her and that her Bio would be updated at the university in the next few weeks and to email her updates about everyone
So as our farewell to her I did print out a smaller version of Sassy's portrait since the big one I gave her she hung up at the clinic for everyone to see. I also had a cake baked for her & all the vets. I made her take pictures with all the kids too 🙂

05/04/2006 - Bosch, Sassy's pal, earned his wings 03/29/19 fought cancer for 4 months.

Awwwww Mochelle! This has me in tears too! I KNOW this was such an emotionally bittersweet time.
And I can ASSURE you Dr. Boyer has been touched FOREVER you and SASSY!! She has Sassy's beautiful portrait hanging in the clinic for all to see! I can't even begin to imagine how many times customers would ask about the dog in the portrait and Sassy's legacy of bravery would be told over and over.
Bosch, you are a silly boy!! Snickers and Jazz held still for their photo op...even jjst for seco ds, but they did it! Bjt I don't blame you Bosch. The way you are being "hugged" looks an awful lot like a vet holding you so they can give you a shot or some sort of awful "procedure"!
The pictures of priceless Michelle! And that cake....OMD!!! Soooooo sspecial! The poctures on the cake turned out so clear! Such a good looking crew!
And, as always, the one of you smiling just lights up my world! There are so many wo derful pictures you've shared of you and Sassy smiling. Yes, Sassy zure did smile!
Your heart is so full of love and kindness and compassion Michelle! You are such a wonderful human being. And we are all so privileged to be able to call you our friend...so very privileged!!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Dr Boyer had to hold his head because he wouldn't even look at the camera for some reason. The firs one she tried to get on the floor next to him. I tried to have him move and sit but he would only lay down. As you can see in the corner that pile of hair that is from the 3 hooligans lol. But at least they were clean to see her
We all will miss her a bunch that is for sure.

Bittersweet, indeed. But how lucky you have been to have Dr Boyer in your corner. To know that she is still only a phone call away has to help to make it a bit easier to say "see you".

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
