Hi, does anyone have their email or cell phones? Please give them a heads up to check their PMs.
Thanks!
Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
I have neither...but I'm pretty sure this will get their attention!!!!!!
How are you doing sweet Deb? Think of you and that amazing little Cougar Lexie all the time!!!!
I know it's still very hard adjusting...especially the holidays. And I also know she is an eternal "gift" that keels on giving and is A@WAYS with you.
Has Lexie started sending any pups your way yet?
Sending lots of love your way.
Sally and My Eternal Light Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Deb,
I just saw your pm and sent you an e-mail......we have been gone the entire day and so sorry I miss this opportunity to meet up with you. But like I said in the e-mail, hopefully we can get something together for all of us in the spring, and do another Tripawd/quadpawd/alumni party again, Sally and Elizabeth, and all the rest of the east-coasters ......I am still upset about not being able to get to the one in June.
And yes, you NEED to share some happy news soon......!!
Love,
Bonnie & Angel Polly
I just had to jump in and say that I LOVE we are already planning another party! And yes I too Deb, can not wait to see what/who little Lexi has in store for you
Mom to Tripawd Angels Jake (2001-2014) and Rosco (2012-2015) and Tripawd Tanner. “Whatever happens tomorrow, we had today; and I'll always remember it”
So sorry I missed the chance to meet up with you. I also was gone all day and again yesterday and today also. Oye! Craziness lately. I PM you my phone numbers. That way if you get close again, you may actually reach me. Just had a few minutes to check in here and saw all the messages in my inbox. I apologize! Hugs from, Lori, Ty, C, L, and Daryl
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Sorry I missed you, Lori and Bonnie! Lori, I'll email you about another possible option if you want to try to get those ramps sooner rather than later.
@Sally, love how we have our ESP episodes...I think of you and your girls often.
Well, you and @Elizabeth and Lori nailed it. Lexie has been up to some major hijinks! We all knew my girl had some mighty huge paws to fill. Long story short, she is in the process of sending us not just one, but TWO dogs...as in two more dogs in addition to her brother, Milo.
Since Lexie's paw prints are all over this, of course nothing happened in a linear fashion...various stops and starts just to keep life interesting. We will finally get Fannie Mae, who I posted about in an earlier thread, Sat. 12/27 -- we hope!
Meanwhile, while in the process of getting everything arranged for Fannie Mae's adoption and medical clearance and long trip north, a calm easy-going happy young little guy on one of our transports stole our hearts. We went back and forth on whether it was a good idea, and part of me hoped his rescue in PA got local apps on him. They didn't.
So, we drove to PA to pick him up a week ago Saturday. As soon as we got Marshall home and we saw his inner crazy puppy come out (think of a much younger Tanner on speed) -- we both wondered, "What have we done?!" He drove poor, late middle aged Milo so crazy for the first few days that we honestly weren't sure it would work out.
Well, here we are. We made it through that difficult first week and although he still drives Milo crazy several times a day, he has grown on Milo...and on us.
Pics to come!

Christine... with Franklin in her heart♥
Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
