We have a 5th wheel camper that we travel with when we get a chance to go away.  The first year we had it we went to Myrtle Beach, SC and on the way one of the tires blew out which ended up blowing out the fender, fender well, and put a big hole in the fiberglass siding.  So last summer hubby finally got it fixed prior to our trip to Gatlinburg, TN.  It looked brand new and like nothing had ever happened...hubby is quite handy to have around .

So yesterday when I get home I let Lucian out as I always do and I'm bringing groceries into the house.  Since we've been getting Lucian out more and taking him in the SUV he loves just jumping up in it (no matter if there are groceries in the way or not).  So I'm coming back out of the house and Lucian is in the SUV and swipes my shiny sun window deflector and takes off running.  He'd already gotten a hold of it the day before and had a bunch of teeth holes in it so I wasn't too concerned...it's old anyway.  However, since they are the length of a windshield he's running around with this thing flapping over his head to where he can't see.  He had done this the day before with no incident so I turn back to the SUV to finish getting my groceries to take in.

Well, I hear this really loud THUMP and turn around to see Lucian pulling the window deflector away from the camper.  I to my utter shock there is this big dent in the fender of our camper.  The same area hubby worked so hard to repair after the tire blowout....  I go over and I'm trying to pull this dent out before hubby gets home.  However, it's not getting any better and I'm afraid if I keep pulling I will make it worse.  Lucian's looking at me like "what are you doing?" and I tell him "lord I hope you're not a dead dog walking when daddy gets home".

So Lucian figures out it's better to only run with half a window deflector so I'm able to get the other half before he shreds that piece.  So hubby gets home and I show him the fender...not like he wouldn't notice it at some point with this big dent from Lucian's head.  He took it better than I thought.  He's like let me get a hammer and see what I can do to get it out.  He did fix it some (better than what it was) but we both see the waviness in the fender and know it will have to be totally replaced.

So thankfully Lucian survived to see another day and I have no doubt there will continue to be plenty of puppy antics to come!
