I do recall when you got Myrtle ... it gave me hope that I could move forward as well and get Jasper Lily... Jasper came to me about 2 months after Shelby passed too. I remember thinking ... well, if Sally... one of the kindest, most lovingst people I "know" can do it, then so can I. And without judgement or guilt (even though we all know I had lots of guilt around little JL)... but thank you! You gave me the courage to move forward a little bit too!!!! And  happy birthday to MM!Â
And Frankie ... oy... you've brought so much fun and joy and laughter into ALL our lives ... your hound song makes me smile each time! I cannot wait to meet you!

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Yes Alison, we all knew Shelby picked Jasper for you, so we KNEW it woukd work out...we just KNEW!! You and Shelby AND Jasper Lily made it bappen!!
AND DaBears and Da PYR....you crack me up!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 And our typing is similar....except I type stone cold sober....not sure about DaBears though! They might be sniffing some glue or spiking their water with Vodka with their humans aren't looking 🙂 🙂

Just loving this whole post! Â We've got a Birthday and Gotcha celebration, and then a walk down memory lane to see how it all played out. Â It's like watching a movie! Â So looking forward to May and being able to meet you and your sweeties face to face!

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.  Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma. Â
Wherever they are, they are together.
Oh my goodness! I woukd NEVER forget the UNFORGETTABLE GATOR!!! (I was just mentioning the pups of the people who had replied to the post)
And the circumstances surrounding the timing of how Gator came to you, all truly guided initially by Otis, and then cemented when Tess joined him in their plan to send you Gator.
You went through such an awful tragedy. I think Gator is the ONLY way you could ever start sloooowly healing. He was your saving grace and you were his.
The critters may not see it that way!
