Well we've almost made it our first CALENDAR year without my best girl.... It feels surreal that I started 2015 without Shelby and survived! Jasper has proved to be an amazing and dedicated side-kick for all our adventures ... further proof that Shelby had her paw in sending her to me. From our flights up to Seattle over the spring, our epic road trip to places we'd never seen, to meeting the amazing Northern CA Tripawds community to home for the holidays (twice)... I would say we are lucky and blessed girls. Life is far from perfect (but where is the fun in that) and not without challenges and sadness but I would 100% say we are BLESSED. And blessed to have this amazing community in our life! Thank you for always cheering for us and supporting and loving us!
So as Jasper and I hit the road again for wet and windy and cold Seattle... we wanted to send lots of love and holiday wishes to our adopted family here. We love you and wish everyone ALL the best for 2016!!! Happy and HEALTHY New Year!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Merry Christmas Alison, Jasper, and of of course spirit Shelby too! You've had a busy year teaching Jasper all about security, confidence and most of all LOVE. Good thing Shelby was with you "helping". Shelby will always be right with you. Wherever you are she'll be there too. She knew Jasper needed you and her too so yup her paws are all over Jasper picking you. Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
