Boy have we missed our Tripawds family!!!! I just got back from a week long vacay in my hometown, Seattle, and while I can't say it's great to be back in LA, it is great to be back with you. I didn't bring my laptop this trip (really didn't want to work) and I don't have the patience to try and type on an ipad (lazy girl here). But I am trying to catch up on the latest, greatest, milestones and sadness....
I am going to update Jasper's blog soon with our trip (Seattle was exceptional this time - weather was perfect) but this week marks the last week that Shelby and I were together on earth. So this week, we celebrate Shelby!!!
But since Sally loves photos....
yes, she wore that in the airport and onto the plane!
Dog friendly hiking trail 2 hours north of Seattle. Yup, that is a pile of moss!
Just a girl and her dog ... lost in the forest! Snoqualmie Falls!I'll also have to share a photo of the beautiful globe my mother had made for me with Shelby's ashes. It's stunning. It's purple (her signature color).... and it sparkles with the glitter from her spirit that it was made with (literally ... with her ashes). TSA wasn't too sure of it and honestly, traveling with a real dog in a cheerleading outfit as well as deceased dog in globe form .... I am shocked they let us board the plane!!
I love you all so much.... we missed you....

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
So glad that you had a great time! Those falls look amazing! And how sweet to have a globe of Shelby, oh my gosh!
Hugs!

Alison only you could get by with a dog in a cheerleader outfit with glittery ashes on a plane. 😂😂. How sweet of your mother to have that made for you for sweet Shelbys shelf. Yes please do share pictures of the globe it sounds beautiful. Looks like you and Jasper had a wonderful time with some beautiful scenery. Glad you're back!

Hi Guys!
Missed u and happy you're back! Love love love Seattle! One of the most beautiful places on the earth! I wished/wish I could've traveled with the Rotties. Now that would've been fun! Speaking of TSA, every time I travel they grab my messy bun and squeeze it!? WTH do they think is in there?

I loce the photo where she is very Zen like meditating over the beauty of the waterfall. Sweet, very sweet.

I had to laugh when I first read this and thought you wrote BUM not bun!!! LOL!!! 🙂
And yes, having an 'under the seat' sized dog does make it easier to travel... Shelby was a bit too big so we stuck to road trips! Also fun!

LOL! Jasper's ears are so expressive!!! Shelby had expressive ears but dogs with the pointy straight up ears (you GSD peeps know what I am talking about) are so fun to watch! She "tunes" in things and I refuse to believe she cannot hear me when I call her name! 🙂
Seattle was definitely zen and meditating for all of us .... Ironically, as scared as Jasper is of the ocean, the rushing rivers didn't phase her in the slightest. In fact, I think she would have hopped in if I had let her!
