FIRST off .... THANK YOU ALL FOR the wonderful birthday wishes!!!! It was a GREAT day! And Jasper was a pure joy to be around. :-)!!!
The new couch arrived and Jasper was afraid and barked at it (of course).But she loves it now and has a couple pillows to build her forts.
She went to my BFF's last night to play w/her buddy and she built forts there too. Silly girl.
It is SO nice to realize I am in the same company (crazy!!!) and that you all get it. Shelby's spirit lives on in me and everything I do and thank you for letting me get it out about the couch. Just when I think I have this journey figured out... something like this throws me.
Cars, living room sets, comforters ... yup, we're a good group here!!!
And Sally... you are quite the hoarder!!! LOL ... But then again, I kept Shelby's pumpkin in my fridge for about 5 months after she passed ... it was covered in mold and had to get tossed but that was hard so I guess this makes sense I would be sad for a couch... but I do love my new couch and Jasper and I fit better on it and we'll create new memories.
BTW - I pulled out a purse last night to use and I haven't used it in years and usually use my little black purse but last night called for sequins and inside ... two pennies! I am sure on some subconscious level I knew they were in there but I still like thinking that Shelby pushed me to use that purse last night so I could / would see them.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

OK ... I am pretty sure Rene doesn't want me to use valuable bandwidth for bday photos BUT I'll share a couple tiny ones! 
It's always "dress up" in LA... this lifestyle always demands fancy dresses, pretty make-up and sparkles!
As Bonnie said on my FB page, the sadness has left my eyes and I look happy again. But I will say - and I am not complaining - but the stress of last year definitely did age me in ways I didn't think possible and the last year was really hard and I can see it in my eyes and face ... I am not say I look bad but I am just saying those scars from last year's tremendous loss did impact my "look"... but if you love hard, you grieve hard and all those little lines are little bits of Shelby still with me.
And here's Jasper Lily on her new couch... she's gotten more comfy on it but she was definitely spooked at first. I've wanted a 'berry' couch for a long time ...

05/04/2006 - Bosch, Sassy's pal, earned his wings 03/29/19 fought cancer for 4 months.

And Jasper Lily looks nerry, berry lretty too! She wears the color well.
And wrinkles are merely where smiles have been....I apparently smile a lot...even in my sleel!
Dress up in Virginia means wearing shoes instead of bedroom slippers when going to the grocery store!

Oh Sally you make me laugh!!! Heck here in WV you're dressed up if you're wearing something other than pajamas AND slippers to the grocery store. Going to the Wal-Mart is definitely interesting in seeing what people wear...
Anyway, Alison your new couch is lovely and Jasper seems to have settled right in at claiming it. And you looked lovely for your birthday...those little lines are just a testament to your journey with your Shelby.

Look at YOU birthday girl! Oh my gosh of COURSE I wanted to see those pics, not hogging up bandwidth at all. When you said the evening called for sequins I was hoping you'd share them! You look MARVELOUS and GORGEOUS, lady, you are way too hard on yourself. Promise us that in your new year ahead you will not be so critical of yourself OK? Although really I know that's hard to do when you live in the land of beautiful people., I grew up there so I can relate.
Anyhoo, nice couch! Jasper's already embedding her fur in there! I'm sure she's just loving it even more than you since she gets to spend way more time on it.
