aww Lori,
first, happy birthday :)!
I can relate to what you have been going through with adopting another pup. When we lost our dog last year, I went through so much after. My husband was pretty much traumatized from losing our guy, and didnt want another. We had several failed adoption attempts, one guy we were approved for, the rescue ended up adopting him to someone else, closer to the shelter. Then we got approved for another puppy, and the day before we went to pick him up, he was neutered and ended up passing away during surgery. sigh. BUT...yes. there was a light to the end of the tunnel. We ended up adopting a girl who really needed us. Shes crazy. shes everything my Chuck was not, but shes ours and I wouldnt have it any other way.
Hang in there..you'll get your penny when you least expect it
many hugs,
Lori and the family
Well, I got permission from my hubby, with stipulations. We are trying to pare down the number of horses before winter. I have been given the job of finding a home for one of them. I think my hubby thinks she will be the hardest to sell. If I can find a home for her and I want it to be a home where she will be loved! I am allowed to get a dog. So, we will see, may be awhile or may be really soon.
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
I vote for really soon!

Lori,
Having the husband onboard is a big deal. I acquired my third horse about a year ago and my husband doesn't even ride. And the price of hay here is ridiculous. But I love them like I love my dogs. My husband also was not keen on getting another dog. I tried a rescue but they were ridiculous with their requirements and my husband got very irritated with them so we got a puppy. Like Chuck's Mom said our Hank is nothing like Maggie but we love him just the same. Also Happy Birthday, mines in August too so us Leo's have to stick together. I personally think the next time Hank comes around you should spray some white dots on him and he will be your new Dalmatian at least until his "owner" forgets about him.
