Yes, Pearl had surgery today.Β Β  She is home and resting now.Β  Bonnie said she had an approx 4 inch scar and said the surgery went well but Pearl had a little rough time waking up.Β  She wouldn't really rest til she got home and Bonnie laid down with her.Β  Now keep her in your prayers as they wait for pathology reports.Β

Yes Sally she posted on FB today.Β  I wanted to give her time but I know she was pretty stressed so I am just letting you all know what I saw.Β  I am sure Bonnie will post when she has time πŸ™‚

No Sally, I don't know for sure. I was just going by her original post that said it was April 6th. She has been on my mind a lot.Β

Hi everyone,Β

I am so sorry for not posting sooner, but the last week and a half has been a week and a half from hell again.... Thank you Michelle for Β taking the time to update everyone here, I very much appreciate it. Β You and many others have been my lifeline again. And thank you to the others that have posted here that I haven't had a chance to get back to yet. Besides Pearl being diagnosed with MCT, my sweet Zuzu got a really bad report at her cardiology appt. last Wednesday, I was quite ready to jump off the nearest bridge....Β

Pearl did good for her surgery, like Michelle mentioned, she woke up pretty rough, but we got her through it. My vet lets me come up and sit with her once she comes off the operating table, and while she is coming around, it always makes my girls happier when they know I am there with them. My vet said the pathology report should be in from 4-7 days, but to be honest, I would feel much better if I never heard another thing about this surgery, but that will not be possible. I just can't deal with this so soon again, or for that matter, at all anymore.

The 1st pic below is Pearl coming out of anesthesia; Β 2nd pic is her 4-5 inch incision and staples; Β 3rd pic is me laying down with her once we were home, and I went into Tripawds with my phone and the first banner that popped up was my precious angel Polly, so I KNOW she was watching over us; Β 4th pic is Pearl getting comfy on the sofa this morning, and last pic is her attire for awhile, Polly's t-shirt that I had to open up the right armhole again, and Polly's Mutt Luks that I have to use on Pearl's rear left foot to keep her from scratching her staples, so far it is working.

I will keep everyone updated once I get the report, but if it is bad, you may not see a new post for a bit until I can somehow deal with it. Thanks to all of you for the amazing support again, I'm not sure I will get through this again without you.Β sad

Much Love to everyone,

Bonnie, Angel Polly, my fighter Pearl, and my other fighter ZuzuΒ

((((((hugs))))))

I'm SO glad the surgery went well. Polly's banner (cute pic!) is a sure sign that she's looking out for Pearl, Zuzu and YOU.Β  I hope that Pearl is feeling better today.

Remember, no sense in panicking over a report you haven't seen yet. Day by day, stay strong and pawsitive. Keep us posted Bonnie, we're always here for you.

Bonnie, our dear sweet Bonnje. A rough week indeed. It may not feel.like it, butnyiu ARE stronger than you think! The fact that you HAVEN'T jumled off that bridge is a testament to your strength. Besides, we already have our Tripawd Universe lifeline rope tethered to you.

As hard as it is, try not to jumpr forward to worse case scenario with either Pearl or Zuzu. Clearly Zuzu isn't interested in what a report says. And other than recovering from the surgery, Pearl is feeling just fine.

And for goodness sakes, don't worry about being on the site, okay? We all understand you have you have a lot on your plate.

Polly's banner popping was clearly a message from her that shes watching over everyone.

Whatever the future brings, we are your family and you are ours. We aren't going anywhere. Nope, can't get rid of us know matter how hard you try!

Smooch FIGHTER PEARL and smooch FIGHTER ZUZU and HUG FIGHTER BONNIE for us!

Sending so much love and lots of ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Wow, bless your heart. I can't even come close to imagining what you're going through.

I remember a conversation I had with a close friend where I confessed to her, as a teenager, I prayed for patience. Well, then the bottom of life dropped out and seems to have been that way (a lot) ever since. My friend asked me, "Well, did you think God was just gonna zap you and all of a sudden you would be more patient?" I might add she asked me this very sarcastically.

I answered, "YEAH! I DID!"

So, now I look in the mirror every morning and say (mentally), You got this.

Bonnie, of all the people I've "met" on this site, I can count on one hand of those I know who've got this, and you, my friend, are my thumb.

We're here for you. For me, I can never repay the comfort you brought me during my journey with Harmony, but you can bet, I'm gonna try.

You got this!

How did I not see this thread until now? I'm glad I was able to follow on FB.

Bonnie, you know we all have your back. You have been there with us through thick and thin, and it is our turn to help shoulder your burden now. Pearl is being Pearl, and nothing (not even this POC disease) can change that. It sounds as if she has bounced back remarkably and will continue to do so. You just need to lean on us. WE GOT YOU!

Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel...and the Labradork

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Oh Bonnie, you have been through the mill. What are the suggestions on ZuZu? I agree with Sally, she does not give a rip about any report. She is just so happy to be yours. For some reason, I have a good feeling about the report you are going to get for Pearl. I agree also with Pam, you got this! Even when you feel like you don't. You are giving these girls such a good life. We have your back! Hugs, Lori, Ty and Gang

Hi again everyone,

I just want to say, that you all are the best friends anyone could ever ask for in life, and I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight (although I am thoroughly exhausted), without telling you that my Pearl is basically cancer-free !!!!!!! My vet called earlier today with results that came in a little sooner than expected, and he wanted me to have the best weekend ever, and I can surely tell you, I will πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ‘

Pearl's results said that her grade on the little tumor is a #1, and the mitotic index is a 0, very slow growing cells, and clean margins as well, so my exhaustion is due to my celebrating and smiling so much my face hurts !!!Β

Sally, Linda, Jerry/Rene, Pam, Lori, Kathi, and Donna, and all the rest of you, my heart is over the moon with relief, happiness, and so much love for all of you, you all are the ones that made me strong, and helped me be able to handle whatever came along, but I have to say, I am glad I don't have to with Pearl now, and I pray it stays that way for a long time. I will definitely sleep better tonight, and hopefully for a long time as well. All your posts and words of love and support will stay with me forever.

Lori, to answer your question about Zuzu, her heart valve defect is rapidly progressing much faster than her cardiologists hoped it would, she is now considered terminal, with maybe another year to year in a half at most, but you are right, she doesn't know anything, she is on tons of meds now to help her as much as possible, and she is still the happiest, funniest, most joyful pup I have ever had, and is teaching me so much about life. And your good feelings about Pearl came true 😎

Thanks again to all of you, so much, I love you all with all my heart πŸ’œβ€οΈπŸ’œ
