He is so cool! so energetic. Does not see himself as handicapped at all. I an wincing as he runs through the house and jumps on the furniture. Lucy acted like a complete idiot the first 20 minutes or so. I was so afraid that they were going to put him back in the van and take him away. I finally figured out that she was trying to herd him. A few spritzes from the water bottle cured her quickly. I am trying to get pictures, but every time I move, he is up on my lap. Right now, he is laying on my feet. I am so glad now that I sent in the application. Thank you all for your advice and encouragement. Lori, Ty and the pack
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

OMG I could not click on your post fast enough!! He is so darn cute I can't stand it. Look at his ears sticking straight up! Oh he looks so happy Lori, and so do you! I'm getting teary eyed over here, boy, our angels sure know what they are doing up there. Having a tripawd from injury is SO much different. My Tanner is very energetic too and its borderline terrifying watching him in action because he has NO idea. You will be so amazed at.....errr, Darryl?? Is he keeping the name or do you have a new one picked out? Not that I don't like the name Darryl, just wondering what to officially call him!
So happy for you guys!!! The tripawd universe is smiling today!

Oh Elizabeth, I don't know what to do about the name. He seems to respond so well to it. The other thing is that the lady who runs the rescue that he came from, her last name is Darrell. The vet that did his amp just started calling him Daryl not knowing that was her last name. So a part of me feels I should keep it to honor her and the work she does. We will see, I am giving it a couple of days to see if anything else seems right. My Son in law roared with laughter at his name.

Oh no, poor Darryl! It is quite an interesting name for a dog. The Newhart show keeps popping in my head..."Hi, I'm Larry; this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl." 
Well Tanner's name was BoboTanner , and we felt the same way. Tanner responded so well to his name we just dropped the Bobo. Maybe Darryl can be his middle name?

OMG!!!! cuteness!!!! And I love your home. Looks very cabin-like! I see what you mean about a Tripawd from an injury being different .. I've seen a three-legged dog by my house and he's manic! LOL
He's soooooo cute! Look at how happy he looks there. I am so happy for you!
And lucy is sooo funny! She is indeed a big chunky!
I do think the name is hilarious ... and it gives him character. He's cute no matter what you call him!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

I can't help but put my 2¢ in on the name DARYL!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT. IT FITS HIM PERFECTLY!!! And I I have to say, itr the first time I've heard the name for a dog...so a unique, one of a kind dog, deserves unique, one of a kind name!! And Daryl just looks like he's so full of mischief and fun and a humorous little boy! Bob Newhart would be so proud!!!
Daryl just KNOWS he's home! This has got to be one of the luckiest dogs on the planet!!!

Daryl is great so happy for you all! The name was chosen for a reason- Ty is laughing his butt off saying OMD Daryl what a silly name. I like Elizabeth thought of The Bob Newhart show immediately I guess that means I am old lol. I have a feeling you will be very busy for a while. ENJOY! Happy we relentlessly nudged you to proceed! Oh, I remember that one too! Immediately thought of that show and the thought I should get 2. Hi I am Chandler and this is my brother Daryl and this is my other brother Daryl. Just kidding, my husband would string me up. LOL he really likes Daryl though. He keeps saying how cool he is. I knew he would eventually come Round. He did say that Daryl reminds him a little too much of Ty. He does me also a bit, but I find some comfort in it. Some sadness that he won't be back, but being a bit busier helps a lot. He is so much smaller an much more smaller boned than Ty. I think he has a bit of hound in him. He gave a perfect whoooo! This morning. Lori Ty and gang
