Wish I could tell Merry Myrtle's birthday adventure as well as Alison...it was a good one!
Sooo...load her up for her Birthday trip to Petco and then Stsrbucks. She has on her birthday hat at Petco and people were actually asking if they couldtake selfies with her!! It was sooooo cute and she was loving the attention...and treats!
Then off to Starbucks! Weell, Miy Pal Merry Myrtle Mae decideds she will just bum rush me and get in the front seat...which really means half sit on the divider console and pushes the gear into reverse and nuetral a few times while Im going 60 mph!
By the time we get to Starbucks she's in my lap and refuses to get in the back seat. She usually puts her head out the back w k ndow and the Starbucks staff holds her Puppj Latte for her to slurp up. Anhway, snes climbing alk over me...I drop the money and latte on the ground...olen car door to get it...and Myrtle nearly crushes me between the car and the bulding trying to lick ner latte up off the ground. Yeah, cars behind us. I CANNOT get her back in the car! She turned herself into a hundred pound block of concrete with her feet glued to the pavement. Starbucks hands me another Puppy Latte to trh and entice her back into the car.
Not happening....and I'm still parked at the window! Grab her leash...pull her up on their little "porch area"...hand her off to two perfect strangers with whip cream slobber and her latte so I can move the car and go jnside and pay for my Espresso Frappucinno with whip cream..YUM!
Starbucks now has a sign up .."We no longer serve Puppy lattes"! JUST KIDDING!!!!

Ahhhh... so cute!!! that is a great story yet I would have a coronary if jasper switched the gears in my car ... well i don't have gears but if she touched anything while i was driving that would impact the driver! lol

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Oh Myrtle, you are adorable! Happy Birthday! They learn fast don't they? Daryl gets peeved if he does not get a cookie at the bank drive thru. He makes darn sure he is seen by the teller. He also likes Sonic. They have a puppy ice cream treat. Free! We have not tried Starbucks. That would be Chandler, he loves coffee.☺️ Hugs, Lori, Ty and gang
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Myrtle would make an AWESOME SuperBowl commercial

I would vote for Myrtle being a fabulous next fabulous commercial spokes-pup for Starbucks! What a great sequence of pics, and a treasured video as well.....of course she has the most perfect and beautiful face to go along with that Starbucks latte drinking talent......!

Haha! Happy Birthday Mrytle!!!!! Oh boy, sounds like Myrtle had a Tanner moment she was so excited for her latte! Tanner once jumped onto BF's lap (while he was driving) and tried to get onto the dashboard using the steering wheel as a step ladder.

Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Yes! They're known as "pup cups" (tall cup of whipped cream) at all the Starbucks we go to. Panzer and Bismarck adore those yummy cups of goodness and usually end up demolishing the cups themselves after finishing off the whipped cream.
....and of course a happy, happy birthday to Myrtle! My boys send kisses.
