Showed Frankie all those videos of pups doing NoseWork. I told him I felt badly as I wasn't avle to afford the proper training.
He assured me that, as scent driven Coonhound, he certainly did NOT need any kind of training regarding his nose!!!
So here he is showing off his Nose work skill 🙂
I think he's a little confused exactly what NoseWork training entails!
Frankie doing nose work:
He found a moldy package of of some sort of "treasure " from the trash and covered it masterfully with that special nose of his!! I just didn't have the heart to take it away. And here we are 24 hrs later. It's not too srinky......... yet!
Frankie's NoseWork treasure!:
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
FRANKIEEEEEEEE! Of COURSE you don't need a nose work class! I can't believe your Mum would even consider it. You are a CHAMPION NOSER, Frankie the Nose, you could be teaching a nosework class, dogs would come from far and wide to study with you, Professor Frankie! And not only are you a champion noser, you know how to use your nose work skills (honed through years of selfless dedication) to bury your treasure where no one can nose it. Prof Frankie we are all in awe of your skill!

Frankie!!!
Buddy, you and I will get along juuuust fine! Don't let anyone tell you different! I have one of those 'Nosers' at home, too! Manni (even when still on four) digs holes with his paw(s) and buries his treasures with his nose. just like you do, Frankie! I understand you!! And I also understand that it's NOT ok for your mom to watch and then show everybody your treasure when you took SOOOO much care to hide it from everybody.
(Manni used to hide chewables in a)my closet, in my clothes or b)in the bed, our bed, that is. and then you're IN bed wondering why the dog is sitting in front of it staring at you like Cujo from Stephen King...)
Frankie: great job!! Nose Job, that is 🙂 🙂
I have NOOOO worries whatsoever about the two of us!! (Gatepost, here I come! 🙂 )
big hugs from you buddies

OMD!!! OMC!!!! TINA, CLARE AND HOLLY!! 🙂 You all have me laughing soooo hard!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
CLARE! Professor Frankie looks ADORABLE in his Graduation attire! Thank you so much for the photo! He is such a handsome hound in his cap! 🙂 And those little emoticon thIngs are precious 🙂 🙂 🙂
HOLLY! If Frankie isn't discussing everything by yapping and howling, then he's conversing with his moans and groans vocals! Thanks for sharing in the fun! 🙂 🙂 🙂
TINA! (aka Frankie's gatepost) Love all the visuals of Manni hiding his treasures and then "guarding" them with the Cujo stare! 🙂 Yeah, that's why I had to cover Franki's treasure back up because I felt to badly that I "found" it! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Lots of love to you all!!!

On treasures and trash - found a mangled cupcake in my daughter's room. Now we all know Gator would not have removed a cupcake from the trash and left edible parts on the floor. Never did figure out which cat was responsible, but there was diarrhea in the litter boxes for two days thereafter.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
Hummm..... we do Nose Work differently here in the West. The goal here is to FIND the treat not HIDE the treat.
Oh wait- I get it now. Frankie is hiding and Sally is finding!!!! I knew that Frankie was a smarty!
Here is another Maggie story for you Sally- your video reminded me. Back in the day I used to give the pug girls pigs ears. Tani would rip hers up as fast as possible but Maggie would hide hers. She would get up on the couch like Frankie to hide her treasure, but there was no pillows. Mag would put it on the couch, spend 5 minutes seriously 'air' burying it with her short pug nose, take one last look to make sure no one could find it, and then leave it there.
