TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
LUCY!!!!! You are part Jasper!!! LOL
I love the meercat... Shelby used to do that. I called it her 'circus dog' pose!
He is definitely channeling his 'inner-Ty'.... Too funny!!! Thank you for sharing!!! So cute!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Nope, don't mind a bit! It is so funny. He only does it for people. He will come over and sit like that. The other day, He was pooping next to a tree stump. He started to tilt and then used the stump to balance. I just need to relax though. He has been a bit off yesterday and today. Not eating as much, grumbly belly, not as active. Guess what I do....take his temp. I just KNEW he was sick, just KNEW he had a fever. His temp is normal. He may just be a bit sore as he get a bit more exercise here than the shelter. If he is still not eating and acting off by Monday, I guess a vet appt. will be in order. OYE! Lori, Ty and the Zoo

Oh I'm sure he's just getting used to all the activity, that's a good observation. But yeah it couldn't hurt to check in with your vet.
I think he could definitely win some prizes for that Meer Cat move!

Mr. D. probably found a few tasty critter morsels while exploring his yard. That'll make a young pups tummy grumble and gurgle for sure.
And you're exactly right about him not getting near this much exercise at a shelter. Heck, just taking the Meer Cat position and jumping up and down on the sofa are enough to wear him out!
This leads me to believe you know who "Flower" is...or was...from the Meerkat documentary...yes? I'm still angry at National Geographic for not stepping in and helping her. I know they wantedto "let nature donits thing".Well, tzgging and filming them 24/7 isne exactly NOT interfering with nature!
Let us know how Daryl is doing Monday, okay?
Love and hugs to all!

I know how you feel about being overly anxious ... Jasper's going to the vet this week for boarding (aka we call it her 'spa vacation') and I am going to bring up how she's vomited a couple times. At first I thought it was just random (it's yellow foamy bile) BUT I wonder if it's from ingesting her toys (does Lucy ever puke yellow?) or something serious? I assume it's not since she's fine right after but puking is never fun. And she might do it other times that I don't see since I am always rushing to get her moved before she cleans it up herself (vile, so vile)....
But Daryl looks great!! And like Sally said - he's still getting used to so much freedom!!!
hugs and love,
alison with the spirit of shelby fur-ever in her heart (and little jasper too)

I am not sure who is cuter, Mr. D going belly up on the sofa in Ty fashion or Lucy claiming all the toys with the "what?" look on her face!! Serious adorableness!!

Mr. Daryl seems back to his old self today. He got all excited when the Hubby got home. He went on a trip today with him. He loves car rides. He did not seem real interested in his dinner tonight. I put on a bit of beef broth and he finally ate. My hubby then let me know that he had enjoyed an Arby's roast beef. He is not playing fair.

Arby's versus kibble? That's easy! Hah he's one smart doggie!
Glad to hear he's doing better.

Oh my goodness....Daryl is just adorable in these pics!!! He definitely appears to be settling in and I'm glad that he's bringing some happiness to your family.
Ty is definitely speaking to Daryl in how to be comfy on the couch.
