It was just a couple of weeks ago last July when I drove to North Carolina to bring Merry Myrtle HOME! Same breeder and same location where I picked up puppy Happy Hannah approximately 11 yrs. earlier!
Miss Merry Myrtle May has brought me soooooo much joy and happiness! I call her "my pal". She just wants to be beside me/with me all the time...and I love it! She's definitely a "young soul". She has such an innocence about her...such a loving heart. And she LOVES being petted by anyone and everyone! When I take her to Petco every Tuesday (followed up by Starbucks for her Puppu Latte) she pulls me through the door, tail wagging just looking for any oerson she can find to go up to to get petted. She just doesn't understand why not everyone is open to "receiving love"...and slobber! The staff all co e out to greet her though. They get on the floor with her and she sits on them and paws them and rolls over on the floor for tummy rubs!

This is a picture of her the first day "home"...sitting up on Happy Hannah's porch just like she had "been there" before!

Love, love, love those "before and after" photos. Myrtle, you not only being joy to your Momma, but you continue to being joy to all of the rest of us. And her stuffie Jack is the same favorite toy as Ollie found in the toy box here! Wish I could find another one of those. Ollie's is from two dogs ago, our beloved Cody who crossed the Bridge in 2004.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Ohhh Ollie, adorable, handsome Ollie!!
That Stuffy Jack has lasted through THREE DOGS and Ollie is the FOURTH? WOW! That toy has some great stories to tell. It's funn y, Merry Myrtle doesn't tear up her stuffies, but this one, for some reason, was the exception. I have a feeling Ollie will be having you make many more "repairs" for a long time!

Wow, a year already.... Sally, these pictures are so great, and I love M. Myrtle's precious face!! It is amazing what our new pups bring to our lives, after heartbreaking losses. Our Tripawd angels surely know what we need to make our lives whole again...... 🙂

Happy ONE year Merry Myrtle!!! Boy oh boy did you hit the jackpot of love!!! I cannot believe it's only been a year ... .it seems longer!
BTW - Jasper Lily has that toy too... it lasted a day. A day!!! Aggressive chewer in my house.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Happy family anniversary Sally and Merry Myrtle. It's obvious Myrtle brings Sally much joy and no dog could have a better mom than Sally.
I always enjoy the stories and photos including those of Frankie of course. He seems like a good buddy for Myrtle, well, except for leading her astray in the woods.
