A whole year since Murphy made his run for the Bridge. He is still so loved and so missed. I know that if he and Ollie had met, they would have been the best of friends, but that wasn't to be. Instead, he and Gus picked out our Ollie to help us along the way...and what a great job he has been doing!

Happy Angelversary, Muffin Man! I hope Hannah has cake and ice cream for you!

Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel...and the Labradork

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Muffin Man, Turbo Tail, Miracle Murphy, we all miss you too sweet boy!. Your earthly joirney was way to short. The amazing thing is though, your eternal presence looms larger here everday. Cannot tell you how many times we bring forth your jiurney to others who are facing amputation obstacles. You are our hero in so many ways. And so are your humans. We always recount the dedication, love and devotion yiur humans have dor you too. Such a spectacular team.

We were all so privileged to share so many wonderful memories of such happy times with you. You jumped over logs with ease as you meandered through trails. Yiur Dad set up an exercise course for you in the back yard and you eagerly we t through your paces. Everything was dun to you.

And then of course, we have that BREAT forever happy memory of you and Gus waiting ever so patiently for your waffles (or was it pancakes?). You followed Gentleman Gus's lead and every so gingerly took that tasty morsel from your dad's hand.

You and Gus celebrated someof the best birthdays together. And swimming together! OMD! Your banner with you and Gus is one of the best ever! It is so poignant...so spot-on on so many levels

And you masterminded the "Granny Bump"! Honest to goodness, I know I saw you laughing in that video!! When you told that story at the Bridge, you can bet the dogs were rolling in the clouds laughing their butts off!

And then we have so many delightful, absolutely DELIGHTFUL memories of you watching over your bean patch! 🙂 None of us can ever look at green beans without thinking of you! You are such a special boy!

HINT!!!! How 'bout some pics/video of Murphy and his bean patch!!? And the crowd roars YES!!! PLLLEASE!!

Yes, you and Gus did a brilliant job of bringing Ollie to your Mom and Dad! He has brought them...and us...soooo much joy! But you two already know that!

And you know what else you did Murphy? Had you not brought us your Mom and Dad, I woukd never have had my sacred treasured portrait of my be@oved Happy Hannah. Everyday...every single day...it has brought me co fort and warm fuzzies. It is truly my most prized treasure of everything in my world.

Thank you Murphy. Thank you.

With love and light,

Sally and My Chunky Spiritual Being Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

PS. You better believe Hannah orchestrated an ice cream pawty today for you! It's my understanding all the "swimmers" had their own special lake bypuile full of ice cream! They eat the lake while swimming! Oh yeah, April's Angels are having a big pawty this whole month!!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Sally, we are so thankful that the Hannah portrait means so much to you, because you and Hannah have meant so much to us. What would any of us around here have done without you?

Green beans will forever remind me of two Tripawd pups...

Trouble- because her mom Shanna first introduced me to the idea of feeding green beans (I still call them Trouble Beans), and

Murphy- because he had his own bean patch and could harvest his own (until they put up that stupid fence!).

I know Murph and Gus have kept themselves busy swimming and eating and doing dog things, and they did send you Ollie- I wonder if they have stopped laughing about that yet?

Awe... Sweet Murphy!  My Murphy wants nothing to do with vegetables!  lol  You were truly a warrior!  And very handsome, too!  You did such a wonderful job picking out the labradork for your mommy & daddy - he brings them (and us) so much joy!

We miss you Murphy!!! You did really good with sending your mom and dad Ollie! I know you are watching over your family always.... say hi to Shelby for me! And all our other angels ...

I guess I had forgotten you were an "April Angel' just of a different year ... that special pack sticks close together I am sure.

Sending love!!!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

An amazing coincidence, since I do realize the banners are random. Murphy's has topped my page three times today!

One of a kind Murphy...... Kathi, we will never forget your sweet and brave boy..... He was one handsome guy too.

I had to laugh when I saw the pic of him in the bean garden, I have been adding green beans to my girl's food lately, and last night I was adding them to their bowls and silly Pearl, who is not supposed to be having too much activity, started her jumping bean thing, jumping up on her back legs like she is dancing, and the first thing I thought of when I looked at her sweet, excited black face was Murphy for some reason...... I will never forget him and his green bean garden 💜🐾

Love and {{{hugs}}} today ❤️

PS ... about green beans ... jasper LOVES her greenbeans... she gets them with her dinner since we were trying to get her to shed some weight. 🙂 She gets canned un-salted ones but I suspect she would love fresh but her mama is too lazy to cook for her each night!

Alison - I never cooked Murphy and Gus' beans. They loved them fresh. Those would be even easier than canned!! And yes, I'm sure the April Angels are a special group in charge at the Bridge.

Karen - I am more than certain that Murph and Gus are still yukking it up over the choice of Ollie for us. They knew what they were doing when it came to someone who takes up every bit of time we have to give him...and every bit of love.

And Jumping Bean Pearl...you take it easy. We may have to change your nickname to Jack Flash!

Donna - you need to tell Murphy that he has a legacy to uphold. Beans for all! Actually, Ollie turned his nose up at them last summer...at least at first. Now he is a veggie lover. He eats beans, carrots, broccoli stalks, you name it.

Thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts and posts today. This morning was pretty rough, but things are getting a bit better now.

I love these stories.  Thinking of you today Kathi.  Murphy I hope you have your own bean patch up there on the Bridge and are enjoying everyone of them.

I love everyone of these pictures & videos.  Thank you for sharing them with us.

Oh as for you thinking they are Random I personally believe our Angels know when we need them the most and those banners come up for them telling us that they are with us.  Now I know others will disagree but I know what my Sassy tells me 😉
