Despite the Torigen, chlorambisil, and (for a short time) palladia, we’ve subsequently learned she has a tumor taking up much of her bladder. About 3 days ago, my

One thing you might want to ask your vet about is the new Torigen immunotherapy vaccine. It's similar to the Oncovet I and II, and is an exciting new treatment being given to pets with cancer and it might be

…with it, see:

I will be back in a bit with more feedback. Oh and we are publishing an interview with the torigen medical director this week I think so stay tuned!

Our dog was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in his leg and we opted to amputate. He is now recovering and the vet gave us the option to do torigen vaccine (I believe it is to prevent future spread).

Anyone had done it and have some information that would like to share?

Thank you so much

…thank you! We did have a member talk about Torigen for ostesarcoma, here. FYI for others, here is the Torigen website.

Immunotherapy is such an exciting field of oncology right now. How cool that Koda Bear gets to benefit from it!

…from Vet Caner Specialist.  Can’t speak highly enough about them.

The experimental vaccine treatment is called Autologous Cancer Vaccine from Torigen Pharmaceuticals located in Farmington, CT. The vaccine is “an experimental treatment regulated under the USDA Center for Veterinary Biologics that…

Koda is expected to receive up to 4 dosages costing between $1800-$2000 in total.

Hope this provides some

I'm so glad you found the books helpful and thanks for the scoop on Torigen. I keep hearing about it, need to add it to my research for articles.

The pharmaceutical company that we are doing the immunotherapy with is called Torigen. I’m assuming it is similar to what you mentioned.

I will continue to read through your books and maybe try to navigate my way through your

…hours is not a lot for a 75 lb dog.  Of course, every dog is different  and reacts  to pain meds differently.

I did read that a side effect of Torigen is lethargy.  So that could  be something  to check out with the Vet.  And definitely  ask about putting her on so e pain meds.

Just curious,

…you are so welcome, we are honored you chose us to be part of Jody's journey. Please keep us posted. If you decide to go for the Torigen it will be very interesting to follow along.

…Pam, thank you so much for replying and this is really helpful. The oncologist did offer Torigen as one of a few ways to try and doing a full histopathology of the tumor and margins. Our hopes for this are not for the bone cancer which hopefully…

…xray, but I know that doesn't mean it's not there. So, that's soft tissue. I'd heard through an osteosarcoma FB group the same thing you said, that Torigen is mostly used for soft tissue as well. Our oncologist didn't tell us that. Plus, it could spread to another bone, so, maybe it isn't worth the…
