…the acupuncture just nips any potential problems in the bud and stops her compensating and then tweaking something else, and the whole thing like dominoes...
I definitely wouldn’t say Meg runs like a four legger any more. She doesn’t really run much nowadays, though I have been known to run
…exuberant" nature. And you know how it is, once they tweak something, they compensate and that can cause a strain somewhere else, and on and on like dominoes. Rest and meds, Frankie, okay? Rest and meds, and listen to your Momma. Will be waiting for your update, Sally, once Dr Miracle has seen him,
I am just now catching up. I am so sorry to hear that Meg is having some issues. I know Cassie who had Domino had some issues with his carpus too. (She was at the party in May) . Maybe a brace will help. I know that you are worried and keep a star
…with front-leg Tripawds, but it's not good and it's definitely something that should be addressed as soon as possible to avoid joint stress.
Domino had a similar situation a while back. See his mom's post, "A Setback for Domino". Do check out all of the posts about Domino in Hopping Around, his
Looking back at the video she was so full of life an she looked so strong, I want my baby back 🙁
benny.... yes we still have Domino, he is such a baby and so full of energy, hes the snuggliest boy ever.
and Lizzy the oldie, she is still with us at the grand old age of 22, shes
…lot of walking for now. A little R&R may be a good thing!. Update us when you can! It was just great hearing from you!
Just curious if Domino is still around, as well as her "senior" buddy?
Keep in touch and uodate when you can!
Lots of hugs 🙂

…a few things:
weak core strength
too much of the wrong exercise
These issues are usually resolved with guidance from a therapist. Domino had a similar issue which he overcame with guidance from his therapist, see his mom's post, "A Setback for Domino". In fact, you ought to check out…
…all of the posts about Domino in Hopping Around, his challenges are quite common to front-leg Tripawds.
One of the most valuable things we learned from rehab therapists is,
…. I wonder if it could be something like that with Bruce, some sort of tweak or injury and then that in turn niggles something else, like a sort of domino effect. Might explain why he doesn't seem to be improving. For Meg, strict rest and NSAI's did the trick, though it took a few weeks. Are you
…the first therapist didn't work out. Are any others near you? Try searching the Canine Rehab Institute Directory.
Also, you may want to see Domino's recent posts about a similar carpal joint issue. I believe he's recovered thanks to his rehab sessions.
Please keep us posted about the vet
…Tina! Domino had a similar problem. He would yelp it he landed funny on his carpus, and he was "limping" on his remaining front leg. He was taking very short…
…strides when he walked. I took him to his rehab vet and she recommended a lot of rest, massage, heat, as well as the brace. Domino's brace is more of a "sport brace", its very lightweight, I believe its made of a neoprene type material. I was worried it would be too light, but…
…its not. Domino wears his during any activity that is more than just being around the house. So if we play outside, or go out somewhere or on a walk he has his…
…. I hope this helps!! If you have questions about which brace I use for him, feel free to message me and I can send you the link.

…update Cassie! Give Domino and teddy bear Finn a big smooch for me!
Yeah, maybe Domino's experience can help Manni 🙂
…for your pack Cassie! I'm thrilled life is good for everyone
I especially wanted to find out about Domino, because Manni in German may be having a similar issue with his carpal joint. See:
big scare yesterday - frontee ligament issues
…! It has been a while, its been a crazy few months. Everyone is doing great! Domino is completely back to normal and is wearing his brace during activity. The new puppy is growing like a weed. It's hard to believe she's almost 7…
…lol. He goes to the vet today for a check up. I hope you guys are doing well also! I need to get on more often to talk to everyone!
Cassie, Domino, Finn, and Tonks
…Cassie it's been a while. How's Domino and the pack doing?
…for updating. I just saw your post looking for a brace so hope that works out.
I'm sure Domino is ticked about having to slow down! He's such aa feisty guy!
I'm glad you vot thingd figured out.:-)

…m so pleased that you've been able to identify the problem and that Domino is now on the road to recovery. Good on you for trusting your gut!
All best to you both,
Meg and Clare (and Elsie Pie) xxx
…is doing ok. We had our visit with Dr Kennedy at ARCC on Thursday afternoon. She believes that Domino has pulled or sprained his bicep in his remaining front leg :/ She also thinks that because of that he's compensating by walking lower down on his…
…searching like crazy for a carpus support brace. She wants him to wear a brace for 4-6 weeks and after that wants him to wear it during activity. Domino is mad of course because he can't play lol. But overall everything is going well!!
Cassie and Domino
…s our Domino?
… though it took about three weeks. Sounds to me like you're doing exactly the right thing, and definitely good to see the rehab therapist. I'm sure Domino will be feeling better soon (and I love your desc of him as your problem child - know the feeling!)
Meg and Clare (and Elsie Pie)
…overreacting at all, Cassie. I think you are very smart to take Domino into the rehab vet. They have a way of figuring things out that would definitely elude those of us without their training. Could be that an
…! Wasn't expecting this! But first, really glad that sweet cuddle bear Finn is doing okay!
What you're describing with Domino sounds a lot like what has happened to my wild and crazy Frankie! I'm going to go fi d a poat I made "Ask A Vet" the first time it happened. If
…seems my pets and I can't catch a break these days
Finn is finally better and over his moving woes, but now Domino is my problem child.
I took the dogs to our local kennel clubs responsible dog ownership day this past Saturday, it was a lot of fun and the dogs…
…had a blast. Domino wasn't anymore active than he normally is, and he didn't injure himself in any way, we were just out and about for half the day. He was very tired…
…time, and bless his heart he wants to play so bad lol.
Thanks in advance for reading my long post, I'm just a worried mom lol.
Cassie and Domino
So Domino's "mystery spot" on his front paw pad is now gone! I just looked at his foot the other night, and no more spot. It does however look almost like…
…s a circle of new paw pad there. So maybe it was a callous or a blister that finally came off? I'll never know, but all is back to normal with Domino's adorable feet!
Thanks so much for everyone's input!
Cassie and Domino
…areas that suffered more post amp are now getting harder so hopefully it will all stabilise soon.
Sending you a hug and super cuddles to gorgeous Domino
…never even thought to ask Dr. Kennedy! I don't have time to take Domino to go see her, but maybe I can email her to get her opinion. Domino's paw looks about the same today, it is raised, but no redness/oozing/pain etc. So I guess for now I'll just keep an eye on it and keep applying the…
…paw lotion since he has dry paws anyway. I took some pictures of Domino a few minutes ago since y'all wanted to see his goofy face lol. He was sooo thrilled about it lol. Thanks for all of your opinions!
Oh, and as…
…always been. Since I got him his rear paws have always been very dry and cracked, but no raised spots that I could see.
The last photo reflects Domino's thoughts on being photographed lol. There's even a bit of Finn noggin in the bottom, because he can't stand not being the center of attention all…
…of the time.

Oftentimes the altered gait of a Tripawd can cause interesting, sometimes, troublesome, issues with paw pads.
New members, check out Domino in these posts with Dr. Kennedy, a fabulous rehab vet he got to see:

So I was giving Domino a small front leg massage tonight because he's spoiled rotten. When I got down to his front foot I noticed that his paw pad seems slightly deformed…
…after applying the paw lotion, so if it looks gooey/white thats why lol. Thanks in advance for all of your thoughts and opinions!
