This is such great news about Pittens' recovery.
I agree with Jackie to go slow and encourage her freedom in baby steps. And YAY for !

Yes I will go slow and will post this transition as it comes. Definitely waiting for after the 2 weeks to even consider it. In thr meantime setting uo the home for her to feel free and full and healthy.
The dr said I can discontinue the gabalentin in 2 weeks also. If I can I wojld feel so happy She had been on that for years.
Just catching up in time to say YAAAAY FOR💩💩💩
I'm sooooo thrilled and, quite frankly, sooooo relieved to read these updates!
Glad you are settled into your new normal. Continue to savor every moment and to celebrate each improvement.
You've gotten such good advice from our wonderful kitty members. So if ya'll have to be on this journey, this is the best place to be.

Gosh Sally! you have been heart and soul my friend. I was telling Jackie I feel I have met lifelong connections here because of this shared journey...and the help.... Ive never ever had such support in my life. and online..... when I have no social media... I have found real connections here. Real true fine people.
Im so indebted for the labor of hearts this group does....I went through so much deliberation and just got support..never judgment...support that helped me and empowered me to figure this out with a clear mind. And made me think and believe I can trust people again. This saved Pittens spirit.
Pittens is doing so well and I think she senses my confidence now..... and so feels secure to try and do things.
You all gave that to me ❤
Checking in to see how your girlie is doing. I hope all is going well

Thanks for asking Jackie, I was just wondering that myself!

HI Everyone!
She is doing well I hope.... She has been sleeping all day. She slept on the side of her surgery today! But then when I tried to move her to make the bed- she got bit upset- But that could be her just coming back to herself- or I wonder... But she ate and pooped and all.
I can't tell what that was. ....
When I made the bed she quickly got back on it and now is asleep again.
I also started work today is My hours are nonstop from 11 till about 9 and I worked from downstairs because she wanted some quiet I think. She is like that . And her baseline wants me saturated or wants some silence because she gets tense with too much noise when she is very sleepy especially.
She is only on her thyroid medicine and gabapentin now. I tired to upload images- but its exceeding the maximum size and wouldn't let me. I have no idea how to compress it.
Sounds like Pittens is doing quite well. She's mastered all the potty issues and eating and drinking resting, all good signs. I know it's hard to be patient but it's still very very early in the recovery process. Resting really is the best way for her to heal. I think animals instinctively know that. The fact that she even has laid on the incision site already Is a good indication that it probably is not hurting too much. Some dogs and cats take weeks before They lay on it and some do it much sooner.
