Ever since the removal of the sutures, Kiki has been making daily progress...exploring the house more, being around more, moving with more ease each day.
She is learning the best way to get up in places that she loves to be. Like, the counter. She got up on the counter today all by herself using our granddaughter's kids table as a step. She waited patiently for her brother Max to extract himself from the perch (it's right next to the counter) but he never got up, even with bribery! He knows he would lose his place!
I can't begin to describe how relieved I am! Nothing can prepare you for the emotional ride you go on. The fear, the guilt, the depression, the anxiety, the sadness, and the eventual, cautious joy in the little things, like coming out of the room and using the high sided litter box. Today, she started to run down the hall! Only 3 running hops before she slowed down again, but that made me so happy!
We are still not fully out of the woods, because she still has that area of concern which gets a check up on Friday. So cross your fingers for no more procedures!
I'm so grateful to you all here, for calming my fears, for being that sounding board. Thank you.! ❤

Awww we are relieved too! All of us are joining in the celebration, it makes this entire community happy to know that Kiki is bouncing back.
Yes it is super emotional isn't it? That's why we started Tripawds, we felt the exact same way. We never thought we would see our Jerry get his sparkle back! Boy were we wrong. It's such a learning experience when you look back on things. Glad you are able to start seeing some of that now.
OK paws and fingers are crossed for the Friday report card. We are grateful you are here too, it's an honor being on this journey with you and Kiki. Give her some extra scritches from us.

Another pawsome update! YAAAY Kiki!
You describe recovery purrfectly yes, we hop through all those stages, and seeing their sparkle and getting back to simple things brings us so much appreciation and happiness. All the little things matter! Confirmation you made the right decision for Kiki.
Hopefully, the area of concern won't be a concern! Fingers and paws crossed, no procedures needed!
Thanks for updating
