I'm glad she is acting like herself otherwise.

Monitor and keep a journal. It is very helpful for you to monitor changes look back and possibly pinpoint things. I find it helpful anyway. I think you feed twice daily right? Try doing it 3 times a day so there is no acid building up IF it is possible with your schedule. Small frequent meals sit better when possible.

Well she’s eating like a CHAMP right now! I think what happened earlier when she was doing the throwing up motion while laying on her side really freaked me out. And the throw up. But even the throw up wasn’t a lot. What you say on that paper towel is all that there was.

I do feed them twice a day, but they don’t eat all the food right away. They will eat a good chunk and then re-visit later. Usually gone within 4 hrs. So I’m thankful that they aren’t intense eaters who gobble all their food up in one sitting! Has Tuni done that before? Sure, during times that such as rarely eating days after a leg amputation and then given fancy feast. 🤪

Thanks for replying back. It really was comforting.

They are doing the small meals themselves:)
Tuni might be working on getting up a hairball, but do keep notes.  Frequency matters. How many times a day, week, month, etc? We are concerned when we see a trend and investigate the whys. Hopefully, this is just that, a one-off.

We are in the same snowstorm. Stay warm!
Hugs and love to the girls, please

Petunia throw up again after I gave her the denamarin . It was kinda green in color (very light). I called the vet and they said to give it to her again tomorrow and see if she throws up again and then they know it to be a pattern. The first 5 days she was fine. So not sure what’s going on.

Im glad you called! If I recall Purrkins did the same he was fine for few doses than he was not and we had to cease.

I will look back on my log and see and let you know.

I know several times Purrkins threw up the entire tablet hours later which was surprising to me like it never dissolved at all.  It is possible that is what it is and you wont know for certain until stopping it.

So even though he went 10 days without puking between the two 2-dayers, you decided to stop? Or did you feel like getting the 20 of 30 days was a good enough run? I was on that groupio site you shared with me roaming the Liver Disease message board. Someone said that Demarion saved her cats life who was on her death bed. I’d hate that I would have to stop something that seems to be very effective. I know you mentioned milk thistle, but I’ve also read it’s not entirely the same. Thats awesome that you have the notes … very helpful, thank you! Also? Did you just do 30 days total between the Demarian and milk thistle?

I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself. Let’s just see how she does tomorrow. I’m sure the vet will have a different course of action we can take but hopefully she will be fine tomorrow!

We stopped because every time Purrkins puked, it was the pill coming up, and he is NOT a puker, so together, the Vet and I decided to try alternative meds/supplements, and yes, the denamarin can be life-saving, but only if it's tolerated. I also agree - Don't get too far ahead of yourself. See how tomorrow goes and what your vet advises from here!  Super glad you joined the io groups wealth of info there.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Our alternative has been successful and Purrkins alt, alp are now good just so you KNOW IF this does not agree there are alternative and your vet may have one they prefer. There are many out there.

We need continued support and you may or may not?

Glad to know that the alternative approach worked! Tuni has yet to puke up the tablet itself, which is kinda impressive cause she literally was given it about 20-30 mins prior. No worries about having to log off, I’ll report back on how tomorrow goes. Have a great evening!

You did it! I can see the photo, great layout with the stairs next to the bed. Thanks for sharing.

Paws crossed that she doesn't have any more puking! Keep us posted.
