So my cat onyx ended up having to have her right rear leg amputated so I would like to know what tree I can get her so she can look out her favorite window

Hi and welcome! How old/young is Onyx? What was the reason for amputation?

Cat trees are so nice to have. Just make sure that yours has enough perches from floor to the top "branches" so that Onyx has many safe places to land and she doesn't have to land hard on her 3-paws. You want to soften the landing as much as possible. Having more perches will also enable her to get up easily, since she has lost 50% of her ability to jump with her rear legs.

Here are some Forum discussions about Cat Trees where you'll find out what others have used. Meanwhile stay tuned for feedback from others!

She's 3, as for her leg her right fibula got broken. Because of finances I couldn't get her leg fixed so I was stuck with amputation or euthanasia. Luckily the humane society helped with her leg.

Oh what a lucky kitty to get help for the surgery costs! How is she doing otherwise?

Hi and welcome, sorry you had to join us. I'm glad to see humane society was able to help with the amp. She is lucky to have you. Can we ask how she broke her leg inside/outside?

Ditto here is a simple google search for ➡️cat trees for senior cats ⬅️ that brings up multiple trees. The same theory applies to senior kitties and tripawds to lessen the load on the joints and remaining limbs.

This is what we have for Purrkins, a front leg amputee.Purrkstree-e1543535169576.jpgImage Enlarger

Ours came from Dr. Fosters and Smith, who is no longer in business. There is one similar here . This company has many others suitable for tripawd kitties. Thankfully, many more exist these days, as you will see on the above search results.

Measure your window height and space whatever piece you choose.

Hugs & Hoppy New Year!
Scratches to Onyx, please
