Gosh, what a nice thing to do.  You've made me very happy, Holly.  Thank you!

I did notice an omission on my part.  The bottom of post #128 references a "10 am sun bath" picture.  I missed it, because there's no broken link.  So I went searching on my phone to see what that photo was all about.  Found it!  Cone freedom, happiness, duct tape, conquered challenges, and Wolverine all framed in one shot..

I thought maybe that one was worth restoring.  Getting that cone off was a monumental event for us!  Still remember it like it was yesterday.

Raven always had a look on her face like she was about to cause me some trouble.  And she often did.  We've had many pets in our lives, but Raven was absolutely the most distinct personality of them all.  She was something else.

It was my honor really! I hope this helps in a tiny manner!
Raven lives on thru the site and all of us. One spitfire little kitty that changed you, Mark. I think your next project should be a trikitty book about Raven. You are so talented and entertaining. Let us know when it is out:)

I hope Abbey does ok with the loss, give her extra attention from us, please. Purrkins mourned his mentor senior kitty for over a year it is tough on all of our souls losing loved ones.

Take care of you and your family you guys have had a lot to get thru in one year. Too much!

Hugs,
Holly & Purrkinsheart

I love this picture Mark! I really does highlight Raven’s most memorable recovery, thanks to your excellent penmanship qualities! Those eyes say Thank you a Million times over!!! In the great picture of ‘Time’, this really was just Yesterday!

She really was something else! Thank you Mark for introducing us to the very Special Trouble Maker!

And thank you to Holly for bringing back some wonderful memories and for bringing Raven into each and every one of our living rooms for a little while! She really was a very special girl. We all feel that!

Your book could have the title of “Ravens’ Knights’!” You and the Warden were her Knights in shining armour! Her most loved Hoomans!

Thanks, Holly and Admin!

You did a great job despite the fact I didn't give you much to work with.

I did not live up to my promise to send more pictures before the end of last week (as requested for the banner).  Sorry! The warden and I were reunited last week after she returned from a long absence, and sorting through Raven pictures was tough on her.  Raven passed just days before her return, so you can imagine what a blow that was to her.  It is impossible to put into words how much that lady LOVED that cat, AND how much Raven loved her!  So I didn't push her on the picture deadline.

The warden is upset that we don't have pictures that are representatively "pretty" enough by her standards.  I disagree, but I will admit it is challenging to take a good picture of a black cat.  iPhones tend to focus and adjust contrast for the background, and leave you with an unfocused black silhouette of a cat in the foreground.  As a result, we have fewer good pictures of Raven than we anticipated out of the large volume taken.

My idea of letting the tripawds community be the final arbiters of what's "pretty" enough was met with a blank stare by the warden.  So I'm sharing some I've taken below, on the condition that no one tells on me.  I was in the habit of snapping shots of Raven and texting them to cheer the warden up when she was out of town.  Here's a few I like.  Of course, I think they're all awesome.  Warden approved?  Definitely NOT! Banner-worthy? Unsure.  Shareable?  Absolutely.

OMC!  As tuff a time as this is, you certainly know how to make us laugh!  I think Raven would think all this talk between you and the Warden is pretty funny too!!

And the photos for Raven's banner were purrfect!!  You captured a lot of "variety" of who she is.

Thanks for sharing more photos today.  My goodness....those green eyes are so stunning!!   As far as the "Warden" wanting "pretty" pictures, that first one you posted  today of Raven surrounded by the soft light, and the one of her next to the pink flower ....very beautiful , very pretty!

Keep am coming!  We love this kitty!

Hugs

OMC thank you for sharing your photos. They are precious! You don't need to tell the Warden but I am not sure Raven knew how to take a bad picture, no matter what you were taking it with. And I love her tough girl faces. She looks like she could take us all on with three legs and one paw tucked behind her back laughing

I know the trip home had to be hard on the Warden, it's ok if she's picky right now, you guys have been through a lot. Huge hugs to all of you and chin scratches to Abby... sending pawsitive energy to all of you.

OK please tell the Warden that Raven could never, ever take a bad photo. They are all wonderful, and so representative of her personality. What a beauuuuty.

I did catch that the Warden was gone when Raven earned her wings and so saddened. Gutwrenching!

We do know how much the Warden loved Raven and how much you loved Raven & vice-versa no explanation needed.

Good job on not pushing on the pictures! I hope you showed the Warden Ravens banner I do think she will approve it's beautiful.

These pictures are bonus ditto Sally Raven's eyes are stunning, and no one understands the black kitty picture taking until they have a black kitty;) You have some fantastic shots of Miss Raven she is Black Beauty!

Please give the warden a massive hug from us ok!
Extra love to Abby too!

I saw your post on the foundation and came back in here somewhere around page 10ish and took a stroll through history. I cannot believe it has been a year. Happy Angelversary Raven, I loved that spunky feline and all of her adorable hi-jinx.

Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about all of you and to let you know my thoughts are with you. I know your beautiful Angel is having a blast wreaking havoc up there in the clouds.

Take care, hope things are well for you and your wonderful family.

Thanks, Jackie!

And sorry it took three months to reply back! I used to get email alerts about new posts to this thread, but somehow became unsubscribed.

Thanks for your kind words.  That scrappy kitty has been hard to forget.  The warden and I were reminiscing this evening, and I found myself back on this thread.  The pictures are always fun to revisit.  This website is like a memorial to us with fond memories of both Raven and this wonderful community of kind people.  We are VERY grateful this thread is still here along with all of Raven's pictures.

Spent some time looking at some of the latest updates on "Three Legged Cats."  I wish everyone well while you're caring for your precious pets. Stressful times for sure, but you've certainly landed at the right place for support.  Hang in there, and I wish you all well on the journey to recovery!
