I am so sorry to hear about Raven and the challenges your family has been through this past year. I am so glad you will have the wonderful memories of Raven to treasure, refusing to use the handicap access, insisting on being with her daddy, and just simply being Raven.
thank you for being an inspiration to me and other Tripawd parents.

parents of Rusty
Rusty "The Bunnyman" adopted us in 2014. Aug/Sept 2017, back left leg amputated (HSA cancer). He remained cancer free over 900 days. Cancer returned as of emergency visit on day 931. 15 days later, he gained his wings 04/18/2020 due to congestive heart failure. He will always watch over his fellow tripawds and their hoomins with Head Scritches and Sand Paper Kisses.
I'm so very sorry that Raven had to cross over. I'm just sitting here with tears. You were all so brave, and your take on the"life of Raven" is just extrodinary. I love the humor, and how everything was black and white.. This is it, live with it attitude. I love how she creeped into your heart and will be there forever. I love how you and your wife loved these furbabies and gave them everything they never had. Your devotion and commitment is so heart warming. Your sense of humor in the toughest of times.. no words for that... just amazing.
My heart is with you right now and always. I have no doubt that Raven will poke you from the clouds to let you know she will always be with you.
Much love,
Jackie and Huckster ❤️
Hugs,
Jackie, Bo, Andy, Oscar, Phoebe, and the coolest feral tripawd kitty Huckleberry
My deepest sympathies to you and The Warden Mark! I was deeply saddened to read your posts. As always, your eloquence gives Raven the full credit that she deserves!
You and the Warden both saved her life not once but multiple times... you gave her a chance when nobody else would! You gave her a lifetime of love in a very short (but sweet) period of time. (We are never given enough time to spend with our most precious loved ones!) You taught her to trust not only other fur-siblings, but also that (non)CatMen can give love and not hate, they can laugh at their crazy antics, they KNOW how to use Duck Tape like Wardens don’t always approve of. And what Cat doesn’t love the challenge of winning over a non-believer! And as for the Warden... well done in your persistence to teach Mark what a wonderful GIFT Catsss are in our lives! Your care and attentions is obvious through Mark’s writings, as to how well you take care of ALL of your family!
My deepest sympathies to you both for the losses you have experienced over the past few months, life sometimes gives us way too much on one plate and I love that you give credit to Raven for teaching you resilience and endurance, in order to help you get through your family troubles, I believe this too!
For me, Raven will furever be the Super Cool TriPawd Cat that had The Coolest CatDad and the Best Warden in the World! Plus she reminds me of an old friend Larry, she looks just like him! A Purrrfect friend to meet at the 🌈 Bridge!
im grateful to you for making this post a celebration of Raven’s Life, it allows us the chance to celebrate with you and thank you all for giving us all a glimpse into the two wonderful years that you spent with your very special girl!
Keep that sense of humour and good outlook on life Mark, you have ensured Raven’s Legacy will be remembered in this community for years to come! Thank you for your enlightenment!
All the very best to you and your Family.

Mark, I just had a chance to read your wonderful tribute to Raven. Wow. As sad as I was to read that she is an angel now (and I am so sorry!), you absolutely did a great job at cushioning the blow. As you can see, we all fell in love with her, and your witty and funny stories of recovery. How wonderful that she did so well right up until her last few days. What a fighter! How I wish that it had ended differently of course. Cancer. ACK!
I'm so glad Holly shared the pages featuring her in our first ever Trikitty book! Thank you Holly. Raven's story will always be in the book and here also to instruct, give comfort and inspire new members.
My heart goes out to you and your family for the rough year you've had. Unreal. But thank you so much for taking time to share all the ups and downs, the lessons learned and the entertaining celebration of the wonderful way she lived life after amputation. You have such a talent for writing! And of course, another big THANK YOU for your generous gift. We are honored.
Many, many hugs to you and your wife. Thank you for all you do for shelter animals. They do indeed win the lotto when they walk into your hearts!

Sorry to hear about Raven. But this is a great thread with lots of good info.
Also, I noticed on post 145 that this is National Cat Day!
I don't think I have shared this here ever, but I was not a cat person either at one time
Oh, no! Now Holly is out of the closet too! I feel I'm somewhat responsible for the reputational damage you've just done to yourself on this cat forum.

You know I got these emails and knew I did not want to open them!We are so sorry to hear Raven had to get her Wings. She was a rockstar kitty on three legs, and her humans are brilliant. You always wrote wonderfully and in the worst of times carried on with humor. We always enjoyed reading what Raven was up to next. I agree her life was a celebration and what a warrior kitty!
Wow, three cancers that SUCKS and yes they warned us of this in oncology. Cancer can come back in different types and different places that is why we do rechecks with Purrkin like you did with Raven. It is not all that popular with kitties, but hey we took a leg we feel it is the least we can do. We hope god forbid it decides to come back we can help Purrkins but cancer has it's own rules. We do the best we can and try.
I love the story how you were not a cat person. I don't think I have shared this here ever, but I was not a cat person either at one time;) Yes we can all be converted and to love and be loved by a cat or dog both are gifts from above no matter the species!
Thanks for writing all this Mark you know you will help countless people here by doing so! Raven will always be remembered here!! Do you remember I was asking for Ravens photos post 154? I could not share then why.
We wanted them for a book we were working on Cool tips or Tripawd Cats The Tripawds Feline Amputation Recovery and Care Handbook,
Raven story is in the book FYI. So know she is and will continue to help others in this post and in the book. The book links to this post so all you wrote and all of Raven's story and recovery will help countless kitties. So PLEASE leave the photos of Raven on this time ok;) Here is a screenshot of Raven's story in the book. (I hope it is ok that I'm sharing this)Big Hugs to you and the Warden and thank you for sharing all this with us and the community & we will celebrate Raven's life and look up knowing she is having all sorts of fun on 4 pain-free and cancer free thanking her people for giving her such a wonderful life on 4 and 3!! Until you meet one day again!!
Run free Raven we will miss you!
Hugs!
Holly & Purrkins❤️
Wow!
You could not have made me more happy! That is fantastic! I am very touched by the idea that Raven's experience will be shared to help other people and their pets. That's what makes life's tough challenges tolerable--the ability to derive purpose and meaningfulness from it all. Perfect!
I have all of those photos. The pictures in this thread were uploaded/linked to the tripawds website. I recall reading a rule that if you did not do a blog post, the uploaded pictures would be auto-deleted. I think that's what happened. I got busy immediately after recovery, and forgot about it. But the photos are still on my phone. I'll upload them to flickr and add them to the thread later in the week. The warden's homecoming is tomorrow after being gone quite a while, but I'll get on that task if you give me a few days.
Thank you! What a wonderful thing you've done for folks by putting that book together!

Sorry for the font and terrible formatting....Absolutely no need to apologize! We took care of that. FYI: Copying content from other sites or applications can cause unexpected results since hidden style tags also get pasted in with the copied text.
Thank you so much for the update, and for sharing these tips. They will prove valuable to others, and always remain here. So sorry to hear about the challenges you family has faced this past year.
And thank you for your generous contribution to the Tripawds Foundation . We'll use one of these photos and include a link to this topic in your Tripawds Honor Roll Tribute. Or, feel free of course to reply to our email with anything you wish to include.
Thanks so much! Yup, I pasted that from MS Word. That's really cool that you added the hyperlinks. Nice work!

I'm not concerned about my reputation past tense 🙂 I am a PROUD cat lady;) I LOVE Cats and Dogs All species for that matter. If I had not been converted I would not be here and I would have missed out on being loved and loving kitties. I can't imagine and beyond grateful! You had Raven too short of time but look at all Raven taught you about cats. Yes, you were destined to be changed as well! Cats are misunderstood and NOT given the credit they deserve. It only takes one kitty to change that;)
I am all for making cats citizens instead of 2nd class citizens they DESERVE it also all for equal treatment for ALL CATS. Cats and dogs are different species, and each has their unique traits. In my opinion, one is not better than the other and should not be treated any differently. Cats are not low maintenance animals as some people believe and that needs to change as well. We would have a lot more cat lovers and happy cats if so.
Wow!

I'm happy to hear that made your day! It is fantastic, and Raven will go on to help so many kitties she will remain on this site and in the book furever! She made a difference you all made a difference. It sucks we all have to join, but each of our kitties and experiences helps another soul.

Sorry about the blog photos, That is correct, but there is a workaround all one has to do is post one post " This blog is for photo storage" That ensures the blog stays furever. If you load the pictures to a new blog, you can add me (Purrkins) as a temporary user on the blog.
I will be happy to replace all of the photos that have gone missing and put them back to where they were initially. I would need you NOT to change the file names load them as you did originally for example IMG_2361-e1507233154856.jpg. The IMG_2361 number is what needs to be the same. Let me know if you have questions I will get an invite to Ravens blog if you add me as a user that is all that is needed and I will get them restored for you. You can delete me as a user as soon as we get them loaded too;) Need help shout & or pm me whenever you have the time.
Extra attention to Abby, please.

Perhaps you are referring to the Photobucket issue, where that platform stopped supporting third-party hosting of images for their free users. Tripawds will never auto-delete any user content here.

Mark never posted a blog post on his blog Admin. He did host his pics on a blog but no blog post was written.
I must be mistaken as well I thought you had to post one blog post for the photos to stay during yearly clean up of blogs maybe that does not apply when they are used on the forums?
I only checked one image but that was from Ravens blog.

Ahh...then yes, that is the only case in which photos uploaded to a Tripawds Blog (with no published posts) may get deleted.
Without a published post or Tripawds Supporter subscription we have no way of quickly telling if a site is being used to host photos.
This is the first time this has happened as far as we know...so sorry!
