Hello and welcome. What is your cat's name? Age? Male? Female? Just wondering.
Is there any way you can drop your cat off at the clinic in the morning before work, and pick him/her up afterward? Do you maybe have a pet taxi in your city you can call?
If your cat is eating and drinking, s/he has probably just been worried that you've been away. Odds are the poop may get back to normal before morning. It's good that you made a vet appointment just in case. If your gut instinct is telling you something is off, then the cost of an ER visit will be worth the peace of mind when you go back to work tomorrow.
Good luck. Please let us know what happens. And I'm so curious but what is a 'social romance tour trip'? Sounds exciting!
