Okay, hold me back! I want to jump through the screen and put more goodies in her food bowl; and then jump through again to brush her; then jump through again to pet and snuggle her! Mona cannot be denied anything she wants! Nope, with that adorable, loving, delightful personality, she can get anything her little precious heart desires!!!♥️👌💖
She melts my heart with every picture and every video. Always has, always will😊
So glad you took the time to film this inspirational Tri-kitty RockStar and share these treasures with us. We adore her. And we love hearing about all the exquisite care you give her every moment of every day. Those middle of the night feedings are yet another true testament to your devotion.
And YAY for gaining a bit of weight!! Every ounce added is a victory!!
Love to you!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Oooh that next visit is going to really help you both feel so much better about things. With information from your #1 vet advocate, you can move forward in a better state of mind. We will keep paws crossed for some helpful, pawsitive news.
P.S. Kerren, what's a "locum"? I've been meaning to ask and assume it means a substitute vet? I've never heard that term.

We are thrilled to see the kitten food is helping Mona put some ounces back on & that she devours it!
Of course, you felt numb and a million other things! W/O diagnostics, it's hard to say or know what's going on for sure. Robin knows Mona and knows kitties even better; you will both be in excellent hands!
Make room. We are coming along in spirit.
We are sending good juju, prayers & pawsitive thoughts!
Big Hugs! Scratches and smooches to Miss Mona & Eli!
💝💝💝
Keeping you in our thoughts for a good visit and prognosis.
I love that her doc knows her so well and really cares. That makes a huge difference!

Thanks for all of your good wishes, juju, positive thinking - it might have worked.
Good news, strange news, but hopeful. The x-ray did not show anything critical. Vet Robin could hear a very slight heart murmur and her heart is slightly enlarged. She said feel that Mona's thyroid gland is huge which means she may have hyperthyroidism. So, although the recent tests do not show she is hyperthyroid we will try thyroid medication for a couple of weeks and see how she is doing.
I'm relieved that I can try something. If the medication doesn't work I'll have to consider other options but won't worry about that at this time.
We had some sunshine today so I took Mona to the beach. She's very calm when in the car and curious about new sights and smells. Here are a couple of photos of today's adventure:
Okay, she's ready to go home now:
It's time to fatten her up!
Hugs to my dear friends. Your support warms my heart.

p.s. Yes Jerry, a locum is a person who works temporarily. We use the term for vets and doctors.
Other options work very well if medication doesn't work. My Minnie had transdermal gel for her ear.
I got lucky being a vet tech and our specialist ended up doing surgery, but there are other great options available.
Love her photos, i can't believe how calm she is❤❤❤

Been check for this update and it was worth the wait! Well Miss Mona, I think this is pretty darn good news!!! I'm glad you have a plan that may indeed be exactly what you need tompost some chunk back on!
Now, let's be clear about this Mona, this new thyroid stuff does NOT mean you have to forego your fav kitty food!!! In fact, I think it goes hand in hand...or paw in paw....and constitutes a specialized "nutrition plan" designed to compliment your thyroid meds!!🤓👍👏
Loved seeing the pics of you enjoying your trip to the beach. Good therapy for both of you.
Extra kitty hugs to you sweet Mona♥️♥️♥️

WE ARE SOO RELIEVED TO HEAR THIS !! I know it's not purrfect news, but considering the fear, it is a celebration. YAY TO ROBIN as well. I'm hopeful the pills will work for Mona; this you can deal with and treat!
We had a thyroid kitty over 16 years ago! We did the Radioactive Iodine therapy. We can dive into that further if need be. It worked purrfectly for her.
We are thrilled to see Mona went to the beach! Mona and Purrkins are the very few kitties that enjoy the car rides.
Purrkins also has a heart murmur, and so far, we only monitor at each visit. Some are harmless! I would want to know a little more about the enlarged heart, but as you say, one thing at a time. See how the meds work! I'm hopeful!
Now more kitten food, more spoiling, packing on some ounces to lbs, and a few pills! MORE KITTEN FOOD MONA see we here were all onto to you:) Good girl!
We said many prayers & had our paw/hand crossed today for you both!
Big Hugs and special scratches to Mona and I think Eli needs a taste of kitten food just for today:)

WHEEEEE!!! That's really good news considering all the worrisome things that went through all our heads. Your vet is so pawesome, what a team you have for Mona!
We are looking forward to finding out how she does on the medication. Keep us posted.
Looks like some friends joined along for the celebratory ride (we were there in spirit!)
