Hi Tripawds! Update on Discovery; she had her 3 month ultrasound and chest xray yesterday, results: "No obvious Hemangiosarcoma metastasis noted". She has a couple of small nodules on her spleen that were there in September and that they don't believe to be cancerous, but we will keep an eye on them just with follow up scans just in case. Next scan is in May.

Phantom Pain spells have all but stopped, the rash on her face has cleared up, and for now at least she is cancer free. She is 100% back to her regular demanding and affectionate self. She is naughty and without her back leg she has discovered that she can now squeeze into so places she used to not be able to get to, including though the gate that used to keep her out of the basement and under low furniture like the sofa.

I can't thank you all enough for the support these past few months <3

Happy New Year!

BRILLIANT NEWS NO METASTASIS  NOTED WHOO HOO! smiley_clap
Ok, on the nodules, yep thats the norm. Just watch it.

YAY, no phantom spells, no rash. 100% BACK!! Whoo, hoo! We can't get a better update than this!!!!smiley_clapsmiley_clap🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Oh yes, welcome to all the scares of being a tripawd cat Mom! It has just begun;)🥺 Its bittersweet really because they just do as they have always have done but it's a nightmare for us and making everything tripawd proof. So we KNOW they are safe and we can sleep at night! Purrkins has been on three 7 plus years and I THOUGHT I had the entire house tripawd proof and he showed me a new area I need to address last night. ugh.

So, did you start the CBD, or what happened with that? Still on the gaba ?

Thanks for taking the time to update. We have been wondering how you guys were doing; we always HOPE no news is good news, and Discovery is doing BRILLIANTLY!!!
Give her a smooch and chin/ear scratch from us, please

Hot diggity! That's super sweet news about her, thank you for letting us know life is back to 100% mischief and that's the way it should be icon_lolsmiley_clap Really happy that everything has worked out so well, she had us worried for a while. Now, time to worry about other things like finding her when she decides to explore where she shouldn't! Silly girl.

Cheers to a great 2024 for you and Discovery!

Discovery had her 6 month ultrasound today and I'm happy to report that there is no evidence of metastasis. The nodules on her spleen are still there but are unchanged. My little fighter has officially beat the odds and I'm so hopeful we'll have her for a lot longer <3

9 month ultrasound today, no sign of metastasis 🙂 Just updating for anyone who might come across this dealing with a Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Vet says we can now back off to scans every 6 months, and that this is a good sign. That's not to say that it can never come back, but her odds are getting better and better sp_hearticon2

WOW! smiley_clapsmiley_clapsmiley_clap Oh my gosh thank you for letting us know. Hemangiosarcoma can have a really awful prognosis (especially in dogs) so this is incredible news and so hopeful to everyone here.

Discovery is such an incredible kitty! Give her lots of scritches and bonito flakes from us to celebrate sf-kiss
