Glad to hear your got clean margins!! Harry is doing great using his claws already! That is amazing!
It appears the loss of the toe hasn’t affected him & maybe it’s a big relief the sore toe is gone. I am sure he will be delighted to be cone free again full time!!
You guys got thru this & we are hoping you have a lot more quality of time with Harry!!! Keep us posted please..

Harry, yiu sure do like living on the edge!! 🙂 🙂 You think it's fun getting all this attention, but it drives yiur human crazy with worry!!!
Under the circumstances, it sounds like things are going well for sweet Harry and this is, indeed, good news!! 🙂 🙂
Let us know how he does after "de-coning" day! 🙂
Hugs!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Glad to hear handsome Harry is doing so well and the margins are clean! Really, all in all, very good news!

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly. His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.
Maybe...possibly...some sort of allergy bumps????? Hard not to think awful stuff, vut as we often say around here, sometimes ait's vump is just a bump.

You can't really see them, because of his thick black hair, just feel them. They're little round bumps, in his skin rather than attached to bone or muscle underneath...it's just weird that so many seem to be popping up at once. I wonder if stress can cause them? Or maybe because he can't groom himself properly with his cone on??
I did talk to the vet a bit about them when he called with histology results. He said that the cells he got out of the one on his back looked unsuspicious but they weren't able to cut it off to do a full test because the anasthesia was problematic and they were worried about keeping Harry safe and getting him out. I told him there were a few more lumps and he said that it was unlikely that a skin cancer would be related to the osteo...as the spindle cell was...but that's not to say that he doesn't have some other cancer :/ What he did say was that if they are cancerous, they're unlikely to be or become painful.
I've decided not to put Harry through any more surgeries and I anticipate that the next time we see the vet will be the last. . . so I'm not sure there's much point in finding out.
From reading this a couple of times, it doesn't seem that the Vet is too concerned. I may be missing something, vut it doesn't seem like it's a "worse case scenario"...not at this point anyway.
It certainly seems to be a valid observation to me that it could be related to not being able to groom himself. Dogs get follicle issues all the time that show up as tiny bumps.
What we DO know is that Harry has no intention of foing anywhere anytime soon!!! 🙂 Just continue to enjoy Harry and all his wonderfulness! Make every moment count and spoil and love! That is the best treatment to heal anything...for both of you! 🙂
And PICTURES PLEASE!! 🙂

Harry if I am close I am thinking the cone is off in 4 days!?!? Only 4 more days of the cone from He--;)
Oh sweet Harry You are a trooper! As for the bumps yes I would say stress and the not cleaning both could be causing these. See how it goes after the cone. I know you do not want to put Harry thru more ! You never do know Cancer has no rules for good or for bad! Harry could very well hop on the rest of Harry's lifespan and have no reoccurrence ok! If he does you deal with that then! Enjoy everyday no matter what and try not to let the Cancer rule both of your lives! It isn't easy but do try!!! I try and I fall off the ledge at times and I get a grip and get back on track! We are human;)
Please post a picture when Harry is a free man again;) So close Harry so close!!

Sorry for taking so long to reply. You guys are the best. It's been a hectic week - we moved, we're now in the middle of a renovation, my sister's dog ran away and we've been spending hours each day hunting for her 🙁 Lots of hectic stuff. It's difficult to guage Harry's state because so much is going on. He's definitely perked up since having the cone off, and getting into a house with A/C..but all the noise, and lack of attention, and new surroundings are tough, I think. He's definitely more wobbly without that middle toe, and being more cautious..but he was up and down the big stairs a few times before I locked him in the basement and the big renos started...and he's had the odd little run. Not much playfulness, but also not seeming miserable. Lots of purrs for attention and food. Exploring when he's got the chance. Still pretty lumpy. He had the one on his shoulder blade before his surgery. Now there is also one underside of his neck, on the back of his head, and near his tail. The neck one is pretty big. Pea sized. About the same as the one on his shoulder blade. The rest are tiny.
...we had company:
He claimed a spot in the new place (he'll be surprised to find it's not there anymore when he's let out of the basement)
A hectic time indeed!! But it does seem like Harry is feeling better andx considering all the chaos srpund him, still just getting on with being Harry!!
BTW, he pictures are great! I love seeing him peek through the door showing he is ready and avle to start exploring his new crib!!
Really, really hoping your sister finds her pup. Post signs EVERYWHERE WITH PICTURES.......every intersection, every sub-division entrance and exiit...fliers in mailboxes...EVERYWHERE! Call EVERY "shelter" every "pound" everyday...twice a day! Post all over FACEBOOK . If your sister doesn't do FB, find someone who does.
For whatever it's worth, my tripawd Frankie, along with his "follower" Myrtle, were gone for four days before I found them several miles away, thankfully together and safe!! DO NOT GIVE UP!!
Hugs
