It's been awhile since we have been on and posted and a kind soul/member reached out to say hello-so I figured I would send greeetings and a brief update on Fuzz. Fuzz continues to do well despite his diagnosed lung mets at 7 month post op check and I have since found a hard pea sized growth in his upper left side abdomen/rib area that most likely is related. His behavior is true to how he has always been - active, loving, and still eats well! No signs of slowing him down at this time. His one year ampuversary is on 9/20 and we go for his routine check on 9/22 to determine how advance spread and now new growth (???). I have decided that no matter what I will not pursue chemo or any other major treatment with exception of comfort care if/when needed. It has been a roller coaster of emotions and I am still angry with the cancer and the fact that his was the rarest for cats (osteosarcoma) and in front leg (usually back) and one least likely to spread after amputation ( has spread). I expect the news will be not favorable on 9/22 but I look at how well he continues to do at this moment- never know anything wrong except missing front leg! I still spoil him rotten with treats, food, cat nip, deli meat ( he loves ham, bologna and turkey) and him and my black lab share Wendy's 4 piece regular chicken nuggets every Saturday. I am not sure who loves them more- Fuzz or the dog! Fuzz sends you all head rubs and loads of loud purrs! Will update again after appointment.. attached is a recent picture.. he still is so damn photogenic!
Hi Fuzz and family,
I recall that you let us know that about Fuzz's lungs a number of months ago. Didn't he have a little lump back then that wasn't anything? I remember new lumps because those are always the fear I have for my tripawd Mona.
Could you move the recall appointment up sooner to have this lump checked out?
You and Fuzz have gone through so much starting with the back and forth on the diagnosis - fibrosarcoma or osteosarcoma... Probably didn't matter which since the treatment was likely the same but it probably makes your head swim. Thankfully Fuzz doesn't give a damn and is just looking beautiful, living his life, and eating gourmet chicken nuggets. Thanks for the idea I will try that next Sunday with Mona.
I can only think positive thoughts for you and Fuzz.

Awww there's that gorgeous boy, it's good to see him and know he's making the most of every day!
I love your attitude about his situation It would be so easy to fall into a "why Fuzz?!" mindset of despair, but that's not what he wants and since you are not doing that, he is thriving despite the cancer. Your calm, thoughtful approach to the cancer situation is such good medicine.
Sorry to hear about the lump. It might not even be related at all. I do agree with Kerren to have it checked out sooner if possible. Even though you are opting out of follow-up chemo for the osteosarcoma, just knowing what you are dealing with might help you sleep better at night if it's keeping you up.
For now, you've got another Tripawds friend sending you lots of love and pawsitivity for continued joy and happy memories together. Thanks so much for checking in!

Well hello handsome! Or is it hello adoravle??? It's definitely both!!
And Happy almost ONE YEAR AMPUVERSARY!!! Sounds like Fuzz celebrates it ev already with all that great feast of food he's been munching on!!
The most important indicator of how well Fuzz is doing is...FUZZ IS STILL BEING FUZZ!! I was owned by a dog named Bob who had bladder cancer. Tje Bet said based on all the clinical tests, etc, he was doing very poorly. HOWEVER, outwardly he was amazed at how well he was doing. So Bob and I ignored all the tests and just continued with lots of quality and loving and spoiling for another eight or nine months!
Keep on being Fuzz, Fizz!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
So wonderful to hear from you! That pea sized lump may be nothing, looks like Fuzz is still himself (gorgeous!) and not complaining! Almost 1 year ampuversary!! YAY!!!
I am so glad this boy has just gone on to be his self, serious. I have never seen a cat recover like he did.
He is truly an inspirational story, others will gain comfort knowing this is possible.
Of course, we will need celebratory pictures... ice cream, the whole deal. It definitely gives us an opportunity to celebrate and not think about the that is going on right now, right? I cannot wait to celebrate with you!
Sending hugs and lots of love to all of you

Oh my, fuzz never fails to be the most adorable photogenic gentleman!
Its so good to hear that fuzz is being fuzz. He isnt listening to that nasty old cancer, he's going to continue to enjoy life. Our Moe cat agrees that the secret to a good life involves LOTS of lunch meat 😉

My sweet soulmate Roane was diagnosed with osteo in June of 2019. Had a rear leg amp on July 2nd & crossed the rainbow bridge to be with her sister Gypsy on the first day of Autumn Sept 23 2019.
