Hey all, it's been awhile! It's been four months since we said goodbye to Raz after our whirlwind diagnosis, amputation, recovery, and relapse. It was a really difficult journey, but I cherish the moments we had often.
My boy, Kho, has been really sweet and cuddly since we lost Raz. I think he's lonely, especially since there's really no one at home during the day. He rolls around as soon as I get home, and then comes to snuggle and drool all over me (yes, this is a cat) as soon as I hit the couch.
This summer I fell in love with the tripawd kitten at local cat rescue, The Odd Cat Sanctuary. His name is Kale, and he had his front left leg amputated a few months ago from some sort of birth defect/nerve damage. The poor little guy had ringworm and quite the road to recover from that, but I've been approved and TONIGHT is when I go to pick him up and bring him home! I'm curious to know his story, but I'm so in love with his little face and eyes. He has the same derpy expression as Kho does. I'm going to name him Jaykalsen: keeping Kale in there, but adding Jay and "sen." Both are Game of Thrones references: Jamie is a queen's brother, and he lost his hand along the way; Sen is the number three in Dothraki. I'll call him Jay!
I can't figure out how to add pictures, but believe when I say he is ADORABLE. A tabby with a white neck and belly, white socks, and green eyes.
Anyway, I'm excited to have a 2-cat household again, and look forward to the introduction process.

Kho (monkeybutt brother)
Cassie this is terrific news! Hoppy Adoption Day! There's nothing better than having another Tripawd in your life (and not because of cancer!). YAY! And what a special name too, he's a very lucky kitty.
We have these instructions for adding images to the Forums. If you'd like help figuring out the process let me know. It's pretty easy:
- Upload pics to a photo sharing site like imgur.com or your own Tripawds blog
- Right click and copy the Image URL
- Return to your Tripawds Forum post and paste the image URL (or the image itself if possible) in your post. It should automatically appear.
Let me know if that works. Can't wait to see pics!
