Tripawd Tuesday Introduces Pogo the Zoomie Little Powerhouse

Are you thinking of adopting a Tripawd? Well today’s Tripawd Tuesday spotlight about Pogo will push you over the edge to say “I will!”

Pogo is one petite rescue pup who bounced back from amputation like it was no big deal. He’s a sweet guy who jumped straight into a brand-new adopted life of zoomies and all the love a dog deserves.

Tripawd Tuesday Pogo Shows Adopting a Tripawd is Worth The Leap of Faith

Just weeks after surgery, Pogo showed his new adopted Mom Melinda from New Jersey that nothing could slow him down. He ran circles around his big brother, jumped on the furniture, and filled the house with joyful zoomies.

Pogo is such a pawsome little three-legged survivor, and his story will make your heart smile from start to finish.

Tripawd Tuesday Q&A: Pogo’s Story

How old is your Tripawd?

When and why did your Tripawd lose a leg?

Pogo was found as a stray in Texas with his right rear leg injured. He was brought to a high-kill shelter where they determined the leg wasn’t able to be saved.

A rescue from New Jersey saved him, had the leg amputated, and brought him up north!

How did your Tripawd adapt to life on three? Did the reality match your expectations?

I adopted him just 6 weeks after his amputation and he had no limitations at all. He runs circles around his big brother, he jumps on and off furniture no problem, and has zoomies so fast it makes my head spin!

What are your Tripawd’s favorite things to do?

What is your best advice to someone who is about to go through amputation with their pet, or someone who is thinking of adopting a Tripawd?

Dogs are SO adaptable and resilient. I was nervous at first about adopting a 3 legged dog, but Pogo has shown me there’s nothing to worry about.

He runs, plays, and loves just like any other dog! Dogs don’t dwell on what they’ve lost. We should learn something from them!
