Hi friends. I feel so blessed to find this wonderful group of special people and special dogs, past and present. Bubba, my 11 month old pit bill babe just had his right front leg amputated yesterday.. 12/12. He is doing fantastic but I foresee a few potential problems. One is that I have some physical issues as a result of a brain injury and I worry about loading and unloading. I was looking at harnesses already but we are strapped since I no longer work.. And they are spendy. Also, we have laminate wood flooring and it's very slick. I have a few runners in strategic areas, but even with all 4 legs, there was a lot of slipping while playing inside. I was looking at boots for him to help with that. If anyone has anything or can steer me the right direction, we would really really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Tracy and Bubba
Hi Tracy,
It might help if you post Bubba's sizes. Most harnesses are sized based on girth not weight so be sure to measure him around the biggest part of his chest.

OK, I added the sizes to the title of the post.

Hi, Tracy & Bubba!
I am glad to hear that Bubba is doing well after his amputation. Hopefully it's not been too hard to keep him still. Sounds like he's a spunky one & he's oh so handsome, by the way!
Are you still looking for a harness? I actually have a Webmaster harness
that I would love to send to you! I believe it's a small (up to 27") but if not, definitely a medium, and it sounds like either should work for your kiddo. A friend borrowed it for her pitty girl, so I will get it from her tomorrow. I will PM you as well, but thought I'd start here
bc I'm not sure how everything works yet (first day as a member!) & I wanted to cover all my bases
I am new here because my 7 year old crazy great dane girl, Luna, was just diagnosed with a histiocytic sarcoma in her right knee. We are part way through the staging process, and we find out today if there are any visible signs of metastasis & hopefully will proceed with amputation (sure NEVER thought I'd be saying that- "Hopefully we amputate" !!) But it's our best prognosis at this point.
Anyway, that's material for another post, which I definitely plan on making to this amazing community after our appointment today!
I hope you can use the harness, and would love to send it to you & Bubba as a holiday gift!
