Wanted: Looking for a Carpal Splint, or a front let wrap/brace for our Olympus. She is a front leg amputee (12.23.15). I have measured her leg and these are the measurements I have:
Measurements:
Mid Carpus- 5”
Top of paw-Mid capris- 3”
Top of Paw to the top of the lick granuloma-6.5”
Top of Paw to the Point of Elbow (probably not needed) 8”
Olympus is a cancer surviver and is very healthy. However she licks her leg (like liking her shin) as if trying to massage it. We end up massaging her a lot and she loves it.
I have ordered booties because I think that will also take the pressure off of her, but if we could find one of these braces for her that would be awesome.
Thanks!
Tammy
She is also almost 13 years old and a retired service dog, a lab/golden cross. She loves life and we are so thankful she is cancer free and happy. Of course less pressure on her remaining front leg would be even better. She deserves it.
For the life of me I can’t figure out how to post pictures on here, so here is a link to a few of her: https://goo.gl/.....4ba3ryF4M6
Have you consulted with a certified canine rehab vet/tech yet?
We do not recommend "off the shelf" braces, and always suggest getting custom fit orthotics – and only when prescribed by a certified technician after a professional evaluation. Even the slightest mis-fit and improper training for use can cause more harm than good.

I looked at your photos of Olympus and fell in love instantly!!! 🙂 She just looks soooooo sweet! And seeing her "frosty" mug just melts my heart. I'm sure she has been a truly MAGNIFICENT service dog!
I hope you are able to get some relief for her. Update when you can. We woukd love to here more about her story when you can.
And CONGRATULATIONS OLYMPUS for kicking vutt!! 'And keep on doing it!! 🙂
