TAKEN: One Large Ruffwear Life Jacket (K-9 Float Coat)

Tahoe has agreed to try and find a new home for his life jacket which he only used about 6 times. It is red in colour and fit him very well. From day one, the life jacket kept him very buoyant and allowed him to swim and fetch sticks easily.

We would like to offer up the life jacket to a needy tripawd who loves the water as much as Tahoe did. We live in British Columbia Canada but can ship to you.

I know Tahoe is so pleased to be able to pass this onto someone who will enjoy swimming as much as he did! And he enjoyed swimming with a huge grin on his face!!!

Stirling, I KNOW how hard it was to make this post and I also know it's exactly this type of compassion for others that makes you and Tahoe such a PERFECT TEAM!!! Selfless and giving...that describes Tahoe...and that describes you!!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Wow, that is really, really sweet. The next Tripawd who gets this will have an angel on his shoulder every time she or he plays in the water. Nothing better than that. Thank you so much for this very kind offer.

Hi, Is this still available?? Cooper our tripawd yellow Lab needs a xlarge life jacket soon.  We take him swimming all the time and he is soon to outgrow the one he has and will need an xlarge.  He loves swimming but it also is helping his nub and hip develop muscle.  He is 8 months and we adopted him when he was 3 months old after we lost our Leo last year after his amp to osteosarcoma.  So we got Cooper one for this summer but now he has almost outgrown it.  Please let me know if this is still available.  Thanks  my email address is auntsherry121@comcast.net Sherry

Thanks Sally and Rene! Yes, real tough to part with this stuff but Tahoe would want another tripawd to have the gear.

Sherry - so sorry, I guises I should have made the subject easier to understand, as I meant to say, we have 1 Large Ruffwear, not an XL. Sorry about that but if Cooper needs an XL this one do him any good. Sorry...

Very nice Stirling and Guardian Tahoe. I know it is hard to part with things but I hope it helps to know that some of Tahoe's spirit will flow into the next lucky Tripawd that wears it.

I changed the topic title so no one else will think it is size XL.

Stirling and Sherry:  the sizes of the Ruffwear gear vary depending on the model.  The sizes of the Float Coat and the Harness do not match exactly.  My dog (Johnnie) is a 90lb male golden retriever, front amputee, and his K-9 Float Coat from Ruffwear is size L, just like Tahoe's.   His Ruffwear Webmaster Harness is one size larger, size L/XL.   So, perhaps the Float Coat will fit a labrador.

Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet.   Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues.   Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle.  October 17:  started having seizures.  Taking fenobarbital for seizures.  April 18: started prednisone.

Hi Stirling, what a generous offer! If it is still available, I'd love to have it for my big tripawd black lab mix, Haiku, who I adopted a little over two months ago. I haven't taken him swimming yet, but he loves splashing around in his kiddie pool so I think he'll love swimming once he gets to go. You can contact me at 2dogs7paws@gmail.com.

Thanks! -Amanda and Haiku

Tahoe and I are pleased to advise that his Ruffwear Float Vest will be going to a good home, with Amanda and Haiku hopefully getting many years of fun in the water.
