I have been in touch with PuppyUp about trying to have our Midwest Tripawds Pawty in conjunction with one of their events. The Chicago walk is September 16 at Montrose Beach (north of the city). I know that some of you were unsure about driving all the way into the city, so I have asked them what else they have in the Midwest (Wisconsin?). The other option might be to meet up/spend the night in the burbs, and perhaps I can find a bus to drive us and our tripawds to the walk?
As soon as I have details on options, I will post so we can decide what makes the most sense.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
Thank you Christine, that's awesome!
And if anyone wants to represent Tripawds in a booth at the event, we would be happy to ship the exhibit to the walk. Keep us posted.

I think there was a walk in Madison last year too, let us know what you find out.
Paula and Nitro
Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"

PLEASE VOTE - Madison, Wisconsin is May 7. Monroe Harbor, Chicago, Illinois is September 16. Preferences? They have asked me to be on the planning committee for Chicago, but I am totally open to Madison as a location.

I have to work the weekend of May 7th. No chance I can change it since we leave on vacation the following week.

Christine, where is Monroe Harbor in relation to where we were last year? Is it right down town Chicago?
