Hey all, Just posting to see if anyone is nearby Central PA or the surrounding areas...
I'd love to meet any of you, plus I think I may be participating in organizing a special doglympics event on May 17 with a local area shelter veterinarian to show people that 3 legged, 2 legged or otherwise handicapped dogs can still have a great time and lead full lives!
I'll have further details on another post (because I need some ideas), just wanted to see if anyone lived nearby

Can you be more specific than central PA? I live in Ohio and depending on where in PA, I might be able to come to something like that - it sounds like great fun!!

Hi Heather, I did see your earlier post about this and think it is a fabulous idea. You are not all that far from where I live, I think maybe a hour to hour and a half away. I live in northern Maryland, Westminster in Carroll County. While I am not a great idea or organizing type person, I would love to hopefully participate with my Polly in some capacity. So count us in as long as she is still doing okay by May.

Lily and I live in Haddonfield, NJ-right outside Philadelphia-about 2 hours from Lancaster!
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

I'm in the Washington, DC, suburbs (Virginia). Adopted sweet three-legged wonder about two weeks ago and would love to try to make it!
