Hazel had her first chemo treatment about four weeks ago. Vet didn't want to do second since her white blood count was low. Any segestions or ideas on how to get her white blood cell level to normal?

Michal,

Low white blood cell count is a pretty regular occurrence with Tripawds around here so try not to worry too much. I searched the forums and found these search results about low white blood cell counts, so maybe you can find some suggestions in there. I'm sure others who have been through chemo will chime in as well.

Paws crossed that Hazel can get back onto the chemo regimen soon. Keep us posted!

The chemo drugs attack rapidly dividing cancer cells but also affect the development of cells in the bone marrow.  The body will make new white cells with time. Some dogs need a reduction in chemo dose or an increase in the time between treatments.
