Hi All! Thanks everyone for positive thoughts and well wishes. Sadie's right front was amputated yesterday and we have her home tonight. Vet said she was on her feet an hour after surgery. She bolted out of the vets office like a bat out of hell when we got there. She has eaten and pooped. I think our biggest challenge is going to be keeping her calm during recovery. She's tough as nails and we will follow her lead. Thanks again for the support. You guys are great! Sadie says thanks a bunch!
Go Sadie! Now that sounds like a GREAT way to go home...a bat outta hell! Wheeee!!!
Brian if there's anything we can do let us know. Keep in mind that many dogs have a crash after a day or two so if she starts to slow down that might be why. Keep your vet in the loop and don't be afraid to ask any questions of them (or us). Keep us posted.

Geez...just catching up on Sadie! Way to rock tha surgery sweet girl! 🙂
I went back and read yourmother posts. You've already gotten great advice from everyone. The mom of one of our Superstar "Weimy" , Penny, had great quality time with her beautiful swwet Soul Maggie.
I know your lovely Sadie will continue to well and regain her sparkle back bigger and brighter than before! Keep inmind that this recovery period is full of ups and downs for a bit. It is still very, very early in recovery and Sadie just needs rest and short potty breaks for now.
Keep us updated. We are all cheering for Miss Sadie!
Hugs to all!

Thank you for the advice. She has actually been pretty wiped out today. She gets up to go potty and to eat and take meds. Otherwise she is resting comfortably. She's pooping and peeing which I'm happy about. She seems to have a positive attitude so I will too. Thanks again everyone.
Wow Sadie is doing GREAT! Pooping and peeing already is pretty remarkable. Time to celebrate, this is good news.
