I was leaning toward traditional chemo when Lolah was diagnosed with osteo on September 29th . I knew that I would go ahead with the amputation even though Lolah had a huge mass in her right back hip joint. At the size of the mass, most dogs already have lung mets........Lolah was extremely fortunate and did not present with lung mets, not on the Sept 29th exam or in the middle of October -right before surgery. I had her on what my vet calls 'holistic chemo'.about two weeks before surgery......and I could have done the more traditional chemo as well .......but I spoke with an 'animal communicator' (which by the way I had no faith in before I called her and set up the appointment)......but I really wanted to know if anyone could tell me what Lolah wanted me to do and I was curious to know how a communicator communicated!

The animal communicator started off the conversation by telling me that she sees things from Lolah's perspective so this may or may not make sense to me........I was a true 'doubting Thomas' unil the communicator started talking about how happy Lolah is 'reclining ' in the pink/mauvish colored thing and she loves it!.........

Now this would make no sense to anyone except that Lolah has a pink recliner in my living room with mauve trim that I call 'Lolah's chair' as she is always in it............note the communicator did not say sitting in the chair etc.she said 'reclining' and that's what Lolah does-reclines in her recliner. She told me things about Lolah that no one would know, personal things and I was careful not to be 'leading' in any way.(yes the doubting part of me) ---but when it was over I knew that Lolah definitely wanted me to go ahead with the amputation but she wanted only the 'holistic meds' (I do use traditional pain killers etc so no one thinks I only do one form of meds...I believe there is room for both in treating humans and animals!) ---

So far Lolah is doing well..............yes 52 pills a day and an injection are alot of stuff to do -everyday without missing any treatments......but I know this is what she wants-it is very non invasive, she is tolerating it all beautifully  and I am honored and happy to do it for her!

My way may sound really 'out there' to some but it has given me an amazing peace of mind in doing what Lolah wants instead of what I want.......I've come to understand ............it's her life after all!~

Christine, you are such an incredible, loving pawrent! Thank you for sharing Lolah's story with us here. And no, it's not "way out there." My pawrents also met with an animal communicator too! They also believe that some people are just more blessed to be on a higher wavelength with animals than most humans.

We know your story will help others who find themselves in the same situation some day.

She sounds like an amazing girl. We hope to hear more about her!
