The first two nights were pretty stressful. We didn’t have a lot of feedback from other people that had been there. Glad to find this forum. Sadie is walking today. And beginning to notice the incision more. She is an extremely alert and cautious dog. So this is a real challenge for her to be idle and patient.

Hey we are so glad you decided to start a topic all about Sadie!

That is terrific news she is walking! Good job! Just take things slow however, she needs lots of R&R.

Is she wearing a cone of shame ? If she is noticing the incision that cone will prevent her (hopefully!) from messing up her stitches and having to back to the dogtor. The cone is terrible but a messed up incision is worse so stay strong!

Is she eating and urinating yet? What kind of pain medication is she on?

Most of us have been through recovery so let us know we can help OK?

Yeah, the first seceral nights home can be a bit stressful  to say the least.

Glad you found your new tripawd family  here to help support you through recovery.  The fact that Sadienis already mobile is wonderful! As Jerery said, slow and easy and rest, rest, rest.

Let us know what questions  you have to help uou navigate thru recovery.  Sadie will soon have her sparkleand all this will be in the past.

Try and get some rest when you can.
