Shilo

Well it is helpful to have someone with whom to exchange subQ war stories, although I'd rather you had a clean bill of health. Felt kind of silly posting when I was the only one, however special that made me feel.

Hi Shilo's Mom,

I'm so sorry that Shilo has been feeling so 'peuky' lately. Ugh I really hope that they find out the cause of the problem and find the appropriate drugs to help! I know that Jake had a few issues with vomiting after a couple of days on his NSAIDS... but luckily for him, pepcid AD always did the trick. If it didn't, his vets had carafate as the next try...

I hope they find whatever is bugging Shilo with the bloodwork...

My thoughts and prayers are with you!!!

Angel Jake's Mom

Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

For those of you who are keeping up with this topic, I just wanted to say that there wasn't any good news to report from the Dr.'s today. We are keeping Shilo comfortable and as long as she has that spark we continue to go whatever way she wants us to go. Thank you all for all the support you have offered us, it has been greatly appreciated. I don't want to cause any ill feeling towards those who are reaching milestones of celebration, congratulations!! It is a wonderful feat to reach milestones of 1 month to 1 year.

Love Shilo's Mom

Shilo diagnosed with osteosarcoma 9/4/2009, amputation 9/9/2009. ShiloAnne lost her battle 11/23/2009 where she regained her fourth leg and is patiently waiting for her parents to join her. We will always love you baby girl.

Shilo and her Mom

Many of us were worried about your visit to the vet yesterday and are very sorry it did not go as well as you and we had hoped. Regardless of the happy milestones many people are reaching, we are all concerned about dogs having trouble along the way and want to know about them too! We hope you get the immediate issues (nausea and temperature) under control so Shilo can enjoy herself again. Shilo looks like such a sweet pup.

As long as she has "the spark", you can't ask for anything more!!!  Keep comfy and happy, Shilo!
